Assalaamu 'alaykum
Attached is a booklet compiled for teaching the basic rulings applicable to women. Since it is a subject of utmost importance, every effort has been made to make it easy to understand with step by step explanations and examples. It is unfortunate to see women generally ignorant of the basic laws which affects not only the fundamental acts of a Muslimah's worship, Salaat and Sawm but also many other aspects of her life. It is hoped that many will benefit insha Allah. If in any doubt regarding understanding the rulings an experienced Mufti must be contacted.

Important Note:
The rules explained in this booklet are the basic principles and maxims which determine the laws of Menstruation (Haydh) and Post-Natal Bleeding (Nifaas) and the main prohibitions and injunctions pertaining to Haydh and Nifaas. It has deliberately been kept brief since it is meant for complete beginners so that insha Allah they would be able to understand/recognise problems on a daily, practical level. After study of these priciples have been undertaken, I highly recommend the study of the following excellent book which has in-depth explanations. It is based on the manual of Imam Birgivi on Menstruation and related issues which is a primary reference for the Hanafi School of Jurispudence.

"Birgivi's Manual Interpreted" by Hedaya Hartford and Ashraf Muneeb

Finally I would like to request Du'a from all readers for forgivenss of any mistakes and for acceptance in the court of Allah subhaanahu wata'ala. I once again request that if in any doubt, please contact an experienced Mufti for clarification.

Salaam, on the Desire S, when you click on the attached file, a new window will open and then the file starts downloading. It takes a couple of seconds. Once complete, slide the top of your screen down, the download will be there. (Ive just done it my self). You will also find it in the downloads app.Jazakallahu khair sister ummi taalib.

assalaamu 'alaykum.
This was a bit of a surprise!

Exercise 1: number 4 is wrong
Exercise 2: number 5: answer is correct however the explanation is slightly misunderstood
numbers 6 & 7: check definitions of tuhrs - names of tuhrs
number 8: Not sure what you're trying to say
Exercise 3: number 6: The answer would simply be "salaah would be abandoned on day 9

Wa'alaikum Assalam,

Quote:
Exercise 1: number 4 is wrong
Please tell me the correct answer so that I know.

Quote:
Exercise 2: number 5:
answer is correct however the explanation is slightly misunderstood
Then what exactly is the explanation?

Quote:
numbers 6 & 7: check definitions of tuhrs - names of tuhrs

Okay I checked. So Isn't Thur Haqeeqi mean tuhr saheeh or valid purity, and Tuhr Hukmi mean Tuhr faasid/Invalid Purity?
number 8: Not sure what you're trying to say

I was trying to say, you had already wrote the definitions on page number 2 and 3 of the book. So I thought that would suffice but... :(
Exercise 3: number 6: The answer would simply be "salaah would be abandoned on day 9

Okay. Jazakillahu khairan.
