Its for kids so you don't qualify and you will eat all the Burgers! :-) But you can come and help serve little ones. Khidmat is needed

We will put the Dastarkhawn down and make them SIT and eat instead of roaming around and eating for obvious reasons.

If cost is not an issue, then take some time to really think it through insha'Allah.

I think it is a fantastic idea. Most people keep laying hens... not for the meat but for the eggs.

A "pullet" is a young female hen.

From what I've gathered, Ross breeders are broiler hens... so, you're looking at chickens that will grown fast and be ready for eating sooner than laying hens. The two are quite different. Here is how one person describes their differences:

Quote:
The broilers behave very differently than the layer types. Think Type A [hyper, active] personality for the layers, D-[for dumb, inactive, boring] for the broilers. The mortality rate on broilers is usually a little higher too. If they eat too much too fast they will grow so fast their legs won't support them.

Broilers basically just eat, sleep and poop.
Layers are more active and easier to engage with.

The sole good thing about chickens is the taste.. the rest is.. for others..
One of my relative is really crazy after chicks and when they become those.. big thingies.. !
What i have noticed that you need to have love for them and need to be '' that kinda person''
Would one get rewards for keepin chickns as pets?

It's only a matter of 3 days, why don't you just buy it from the butcher's. Easy, quick clean, cheap, experienced Zabiha, and it'll taste like chicken and not turkey. They'll cook quickly too.

In the UK, we have a slogan, "Dog's are for life, not just Christmas".

We should have one for chickens, "Chickens are for Zabiha, not just Eid"

A little bit harsh, but it's true.

Obviously Allah has created the chicken/eggs for consumption, but they must be treated well as they do have that right.

Technically they can survive in such a small enclosure but from a chickens point of view, it will feel like guantanamo bay. Like all animals, chickens need space.

Aunty acacia its awesome to see you around. Welcome back!
