I have just been reminded by my iPhone brother about another setback.

With iPhone, one must download iTunes and can only sync to his/her PC. Connect someone elses iPhone and Oops! You have exchanged data.

With Android, you can connect to any computer, copy and paste what you want when you want where you want.

Go to Google Play from any PC in the world, sign in to your account and download the Apps directly to your handset. You are even given the option to send it to which ever handset that you have assigned to your account. So easy.

Software Upgrades.

I remember when I had My Apple, there was an upgrade available, but in order to do the upgrade, I had to connect the phone to my laptop to sync it and upgrade my phone.

Now if I was on holiday and didn't have my laptop, I would have to wait till I got back and then get my little surprise.

However what I found with my Androids is that I didnt neet to connect to a Pc to upgrade. The Handsets are sent a message informing us that there is an upgrade available OTA (over the air, wireless). If I chose to upgrade, it would flash the whole phone with the new software within minutes and I could keep the phone in my pocket whilst it was doing the update.

Very handy.

I tried pressing the thumbs up more than once, but it doesn't let me.

Keep an out out for the vote it'll change in a minute.

Jazakallahu khair for this reminder. I sold my HTC diamond to them a couple of years ago. It was in a bad state. As you reminded me, I sold my old N95 for 38, Alhumdulillah this will pay towards the book I just ordered "The sacred trusts"

ROFL

Many people can't resist, they feel trigger happy and vote or give a thumbs down. But after experience, they realize that they can't change their vote or turn the thumbs around.

I just realised how one sided the poll is.

Jazakallah for the link. We have a few phones bouncing around here and with family/friends.

Wrt to the links, try both, you can get prices online from both sites. Sell it to who offers the most. In my case it was 50/50. In fact c exchange didn't even want to bother with one but cpwh gave me good money.

Some you win some you lose.

LOL, don't remember doing thumbs up or down.
True experience will only come with also using an iPhone until then my votes going to be unfairly biased towards the new HTC, so I'm afraid I still can't vote until I've had the apple experience!I

But seriously speaking, comparing the iPhone to other brands that do the same thing, its been an eye opener. This thread really made me think about unnecessary excessiveness.

Never thought any phone could compare to an iPhone, but if anyone is considering buying an iPhone, please check out the other phones on the market, like myself you will be surprised at what you can find for a fraction of the price of an iPhone.

Very true, that is a very vital aspect, shop around. Don't get lumbered for 2 years with something you will start to dislike in 2 weeks.

Ask your family members with the iPhone if they can do what has been mentioned here.

Sync issues
ITunes
Bluetooth to other models.
Upgrade
Fwd sms (wasn't possible at one time)
Copy and paste to memory
Copy and paste from any pc
Set any tone or sound as ring tone
Multi tasking is something new to iPhone
Data transfer
Copying nasheeds to the phone without iTunes
Copy from any pc like a memory stick
Copying images off the phone.
Rooting
Hacking, not jailbreak
Applanet is jailbreak for Android & its free
Uninstall the jailbreak in seconds
Unlocking the phone
Price
etc
Etc.
