:) I wish every inlaws appreciated their daughterinlaws and thought them as their own daughters... Queenie if ay daughterinlaw had the courage to say the above mentioned joke she will be turned outside the house even before she entered and then would be asked to give this speech to the outside world....

Alhamdulillah, I do not have the 'in-laws issues'. But I know of many who are mistreated and feel for them. However, sabr (patience as this life is temp) and shukr (for not being in an even more worse situation) is the key to just continue happily with your spouse.
When situations are at a stage where troubles are caused between the spouses, advice should be sought from a scholar and the other half must swallow their pride/ego and attend the appointment booked with the scholar in order to give his/her fair view of the cause of troubles.
Never air your problems outside of your bedroom walls unless to seek guidance.
all have their individual rights and no one should tread on others rights. its simple, in this way all could be happy. Islam is a peaceful religion. it is upto the individual to adhere to the laws by practicing and implementing it.
But one key point, if we want it that way, we have to practice it ourselves. like the saying "practice before you preach".

I pray all spouses could be happy with each other and their in-laws and not be subjected to in-laws mistreatment of their son in law or daughter in law.

Wife - You hate my relatives!
Husband - No, I don't! In fact, I like your mother-in-law more than I like mine.

.                            So the husband is saying that he likes his mum more than her mum?
