Dear Mufti Abu Hajira Saheb,
You have questioned the patriotism of all those who have left Pakistan so here is my story...
At the age of 14 I took the entrance Exam to be a Pakistan Airforce Pilot. In the physical exams you had to finish 9 tasks in 2 minutes and it’s next to impossible, I finished all 9 and then repeated the first two again.
In the Academic Exam, I scored in 98% marks. In Metric I had A grade.
In the 3 days of evaluation, I smashed every single of the 80+ kids who were there for assessment, my results were all visible.
I didn’t get selected because my father REFUSED to push for me. My neighbour who had C grade and suffered throughout got selected because his uncle PUSHED to get him selected.
I come from a family of soldiers and civil servants but they told me that in life I have to make it on my own and they could easily got me into the Academy with a few phone calls to Islamabad.
In my case they couldn’t fail me because that would have been too blatant so they sent me a letter that after evaluation they have selected me to serve in the “Pakistan Navy”…I didn’t apply for the Navy or the Army at all! :P
This was so unbelievable that my father had to contact GCHQ and had this issue investigated, how did a kid apply to be a Pilot and get offered a place in the Navy? : - )
Why would I live in that country? This also tells you the standard of Officers who get selected in the Armed forces of that country!
