It's not his "education" per se. I think the entire western education system is just a guise for indoctrination. On so many aspects. Even clear scientific facts can easily be ridiculed in schools, colleges and universities if it doesn't meet their agenda. There's plenty of articles available about this in more details.

W-Salam,
Fantastic question, we are looking into it and we are waiting for final response on risk of infection passage by Dr Abdullah and then response will be written up or you....Give us a few days

Scientific rationale for giving Dextrose to an infant is already proven. Giving Dates and Honey is actually a fantastic option because both have low glycaemic indices and are high in fructose which is readily soluble when consumed.
Saliva of Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) was special and its efficacy is proven in the famous Saheeh Hadeeth at Khayber when he administered it in the eye of Sayyidina Ali (RA) and he was cured. This cannot be applied to anyone else and it is an exclusive blessing towards the Nabi of Allah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam).
There is no real inherent danger of Mother’s Saliva passing any infection to anew born (since they have shared bodily fluids anyway) , in fact Mother’s Saliva has shown in limited studies to boost the baby’s immune system. In Islam Tahneek is recommended to be performed by someone who is practising and upon Sunnah so a Mother can perform this.
If an (unrelated) stranger is asked to perform Tahneek and there are no visible signs of infection and he (or she) is in generally good health then the danger of passing infection to the infant is minimal because unlike kissing (for which Medical science has precedence and studies) the amount of saliva is minimal therefore the risk of infection is minimal. Medically, Infections, such as mononucleosis (the kissing disease), caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and cytomegalovirus (CMV) are spread via oral transmission from virus-containing saliva but in case of Tahneek the actual Saliva is not being passed or exchanged but in trace amounts.
If the father is not suffering from (current ailments) and he is also practising then there is also minimal danger of infection and he can also perform the Tahneek.
If Tahneek is requested by someone else and they have obvious signs of infection OR the baby is premature of susceptible to an infection then (Qadhi) Imran says according to the Islamic Law (dictates) due to impending harm Tahneek should not be performed by the person. Because Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) had special miraculous properties (due to the status of Prophethood) and this is not found in another person, their piety and status (towards Allah) doesn’t overcome normal (human) physical illnesses and attributes.
This is NOT a response
4 is being checked by Doctors.
Our discussion is after 6 today so Insha'Allah this should be ready in a few days. What is the speciality of the Professor and what does he teach?
Can we take your question as is for the website to post a response?
Anything sweet an Honey can be used and it doesn't mean loading the baby with buckets of Honey...Just a tiny amount
Masha'Allah, fantastic point.
So he is not a specialist in Infectious diseases.
