Yes, I think that the situation will remain so for 6 months to a year (best hope) but your non-divine options are incorrect.
- Treatment: There are several trials worldwide. IF an existing drug (or a cocktail of drugs) is found to be effective then treatment can be cheap, easy and quick. IF a new drug e.g. Remdasavir (or a new cocktail is needed) then you are looking at 12-18 months, see below
Traditional Vaccination: It is never 100% effective and right now that there are only 6-7 countries which have mapped Sars-Cov2 Genome (including Pakistan yesterday) so this is a good 18 months away.
Centivax: This is way more exciting. This is by an ethical company which doesn't believe in making money etc
1 & 2 are lightening speeds in terms of drug and vaccine testing
Stay tuned for what they have to say this week:

This cheap and easily available anti-viral has been tested on 340 Patients in China, does not seem to work on severe cases but it is good enough for many. It is not available in US or Britain or Europe.
P.S: Remember that overwhelming majority of people may not even need a treatment and will just recover.
