On Sunday, South Indian state of Karnataka, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa attended a wedding where around 2,000 guests were present. And he wasn't the only senior Ruling national party BJP leader who went.

Hundreds Drink Cow Urine And Take Cow Poop Baths Because They Believe It Fights Off The Coronavirus (It Doesn't)

In what sounds like an old episode of Fear Factor, people are consuming cow urine and taking cow poop baths because they genuinely believe that these bovine bodily fluids will prevent the coronavirus. Turns out that they should have done a 38-second Wikipedia search to quickly discover that there is no vaccine or cure for COVID-19. That has to leave a bad taste in their mouths.

We take you to India, where hundreds of Hindu activists gathered for a “gaumutra party.” Unfortunately for those attending the event, “gaumutra” is not the Hindi word for hard seltzer. It actually means “cow urine party.” Meaning, they gather around to drink cow urine. And you thought the cheap beer at your frat was skunky.

According to TheHindu.com, the chief of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (All India Hindu Union) Chakrapani Maharaj hosted a cow urine rager in New Dehli.

The people at the party swigged down holy cow urine because they believe that the liquid has medicinal properties and will prevent them from getting the coronavirus (Despite there being any scientific evidence to back this up).

“We have been drinking cow urine for 21 years, we also take a bath in cow dung. We have never felt the need to consume English medicine,” said cow urine party-goer Om Prakash, according to the DW.

“They (leaders) are ashamed of the gift gods have given us,” said Swami Chakrapani, the president of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. “Cow urine is pure elixir. Every person should drink it.”

Johns Hopkins Professor Steve Hanke said: “My colleagues at Johns Hopkins have informed me that cow urine does not ward off the coronavirus. If anything, it is a recipe for even more ailments.” That’s a tough one to swallow to everyone who spent the weekend drinking cow piss.

But why pay for the cow piss when you can have the entire cow dung? There are also Hindu people in India who subscribe to the belief that bathing in cow feces prevents the coronavirus. Of all the shitty coronavirus remedies, this is the shittiest. This coronavirus misinformation is not backed by any scientist. Possibly some manure salespeople, but no scientists.

That’s really the opposite of washing your hands with soap and water. While that won’t cure coronavirus, I bet it does wonders to revitalize your complexion.

So many questions! Who decided that only cow shit was the effective preventative dung against coronavirus? Did someone bathe in pig shit and the contracted COVID-19 three days later? Why not bat shit? Since bats are one of the suspected animals believed to have originally transfer SARS-CoV-2 from animals to humans, one could surmise that their feces might have vaccine-like properties. Bat turds absolutely won’t prevent the coronavirus, but it makes more sense than swimming in liquid cow pies.

Reminder to everyone out there, whenever you participate in something that is downright stomach-churning, you should first turn it into some kind of “internet challenge.” Call it the “Coronavirus Challenge,” take some videos you guzzling down cow piss and diving head-first into a tub of cakey cow dung, add some hashtags like #CoronavirusChallenge, and then upload the videos to your TikTok. Sit back and relax in your poop bath and watch the views roll in.

I mean, if you’re going to be completely wrong about your fake coronavirus remedies, be wrong with a fake cure that isn’t cow excrement.

Britons who refuse to self-isolate for coronavirus face a £1,000 fine and time in prison if they don't pay the penalty, it has been reported.

Emergency powers are set to be granted this week that allow police in England and Wales to use "reasonable force" to detain people who risk infecting others, the Daily Telegraph said.

The government's website has published new regulations that state that people suspected of having Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus, can be quarantined for up to 14 days in a secure hospital or other suitable location.

If they leave that location before the period is up, they can be taken into custody before being returned to the original place of quarantine, the regulations say.

If they do not comply, they can be fined £1,000. Those who refuse to pay the fine can also be imprisoned.

China Sued for 'Covering Up' Coronavirus Pandemic in Its 'Own Economic Self-Interest'

A class-action lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Thursday against the People’s Republic of China (PRC), alleging that China put its “head in the sand, and/or covered […] up” the eventual coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic for its “own economic self-interest”–at the expense of the rest of the world.

The plaintiffs–residents of Miami-Dade County and Palm Beach County, and The Pitching Lab LLC–sued China over alleged negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, intentional infliction of emotional distress, strict liability for conducting ultrahazardous activity, and public nuisance.

“The PRC and other Defendants, acting from their own economic self-interest and looking to protect their place as a super-power, failed to report the outbreak as quickly as they could have; underreported cases; and failed to contain the outbreak despite knowing the seriousness of the situation,” the lawsuit said.

To support their claims, the plaintiffs cited a number of China’s “acts and omissions” in it its response to the virus:

a. Censored eight doctors on January 1, 2020, from speaking about the outbreak and its dangers.

b. Even after the first death on January 9th, they continued to downplay the dangers and assured the public that the situation was not serious and that everything was under control.

c. It took 17 days from the time Chinese researchers discovered the COVID-19 genome sequence for Defendants to report the findings to their world-wide peers.

d. They knew COVID-19 was spread human to human by January 3rd, but told the public otherwise, and would not confirm the ease of human to human transmission until January 20th, after the virus had already spread beyond China.

e. China President Xi Jinping originally stated that he directed officials to contain the virus on January 7th, but it has since emerged that he did not do that, and that he actually waited until January 22nd to do direct containment, and still did not make any efforts public until it was too late.

f. Despite early January deaths, they would only attribute the deaths to pneumonia, instead of the virus, and continued to downplay its dangers.

g. Wuhan’s leaders held a public dinner for over 40,000 families on January 18, despite knowing the ease of human to human spread of the virus.

Just wanted to share my experience in Asda this morning.

This woman was jumping up and getting the extra products they keep on top of the shelves of meds the shelves were empty by the way. She was proper climbing up and getting stacks of pkts of paracetamol ibruprofen nurofen. There’s no way I could reach and I wasn’t going to climb the shelves. I was proper giving her dirty looks and made sure we made eye to eye contact so she could see how horrified I was she was proper filling up the trolley

Then I went over to the asda chemist and she was working there, I was so embarrassed I had to ask her if she had any paracetamol
:(

Moral of the story? Never trust what you see lol

I'm not medical expert but if entire country isolates for 3 weeksx wouldn't that be end of virus in UK barring external visitors entering UK carrying it? In 3 weeks those who have it would have either gotten over it or passed away, those who carry it but not showing symptoms what have cleared the virus and those don't have it won't be able to catch once 3 weeks are over as it's come and gone. Or am I missing something.

Whether we go into lockdown now or when millions get it what diff does it make? Govt wants to wait till it peaks. But if we act now won't it nip it in the bud before it grows?
