Personally I think this is EXCELLENT! Especially for those millions of innocent people who fear they could get done for nothing.

One of the reasons I think it is great is because it is a slap in the face of those doing illegal things and breaking not only the law of the land, but also the law on Allah, our creator!

If the fear of Allah doesn't stop people from doing wrong, maybe the fear of The Big Brother will!

Think about it, how many people sin in secret, yet outwardly they are angels!!! InshaAllah, this will prevent that too :)

I agree with you in theory but its just the case of abuse. I dont agree with the motto ' they can check my history because i got nothing to hide'. Its like trump putting muslims on database and we say ' oh thats fine we got nothing to hide'.

Secondly do you honestly believe these guys havnt been snooping on us already? Only thing thats changed is now its law and open.

Thirdly if those who are hell bent on commiting crime or sin they will do so regardless and just find loopholes or better ways of hiding their evil trails

Why? (just wondering)

Of course, agreed.

But it's happening in a far more God fearing way too!
Quote:
"If you seek a friend, Allah Most High is sufficient for you. If you seek comrade, Kiraman Katibeen
(recording angels) are enough.
If you seek consoler (munis), the Holy Qur'an is enough. If you
need work, His Worship is enough. If you desire sermon, death is enough. And whatever is said
to you is looked undesirable, then Hell is enough for you."-- Shaqiq Balkhi (d. 857)

I ask my kids which angels they keep busy the most - this just helps the non believers in understanding the same thing, that all is being recorded :) online of course.

Its possible for example if you log onto a Islamic forum were homosexuality is condemned or listen to a particular Shaykh who has condemned homosexuality then you will targeted for being extremist.

Its all well and good saying if you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about... but we have already seen the misuse of so-called anti-terrorism legislation to target innocent individuals and even imprison them... I would say even if you have nothing to hide you should be worried their is a witchhunt being directed a muslims.

I totally agree with you and mkdon101, I wanted to get the conversation going too. Because, although we might not have anything to be guilty of, we could easily get tied up in this mess - How many of us have seen Dr. Zakir Naik? or heard Seerah talks by the Late Shaykh Awla key :) or just wanted to find out more about our Hajj trip!

All these people who listen to Dr. Naik will become targets very easilly. Soon it will be Mufti Menk, NAK and so on!

Anything Islamic will be deemed Islamist by these so-called Muslims organisations!

But my comments are of course for the right reasons :)

Well you both have said what i was about to say much better than i could of lol. Agian i have NO issue with anyone having my internet history as long as they are decent and mutaqqi. As for the motto its again like me saying i dont mind if there is no freedom of speech because i never say anythin anyway.

Lets hopw im wrong bt wait and see 100s get jailed because once upon a time they searched something or watched/listened to somene who the govt dnt approve off.

What makes me laugh is how white and british people have nerve to point fingers at other nations for being intrusive and spying on their citizens
