Rasulullaah (صَلَّى ٱللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ سَلَّم) said, “Imaan becomes faded in your hearts just as clothing fades. You should therefore make du’aa to Allaah to keep the Imaan fresh in your hearts.”
[Mustadrak of Haakim 5, from Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Amr (رَضِىَ ٱللهُ تَعَالٰى عَنه)]

I haven't seen Masaajid; following Hanafi Fiqh, implementing this, rather you are frowned or gazed upon if you implement this...

Sayyidatuna A’aishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) reports that when Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would make salam (after salah) he would not sit except for the duration of

“Allahumma antas salam wa minkas salam tabarakta Ya dhal jalali wal ikram”

(Sahih Muslim, hadith: 1334)

Based on the above hadith, the Hanafi jurists say that a person should not delay in reading his Sunnah Salah, rather he should only sit for a short duration after the Fardh Salah. After the Sunnah Salah one may engage in other adhkar and du’as.

Note: A person may recite any of the (short) Masnun du’as after the Fardh Salah and not only the du’a mentioned in the above narration.

(Refer: Fathul Qadir, vol. 1 pg. 439 and Raddul Muhtar, vol. 1 pg. 530)

The above rule applies to those salats that are followed by other nafl (sunnah) salats. Fajr and Asr are therefore excluded. One may recite all the sunnah du’as immediately after the fardh of these two salats.

...7. Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) has informed the ummah that they will be distinguished from the rest of mankind by the shine of the limbs of wudu. He (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) therefore encouraged:

“those who can increase the shine should do so.”

i.e. By washing extra (Sahih Bukahri, Hadith:136)

Sayyidiuna Abu Hurairah radiyallahuánhu would actually wash up to his armpits and shins because of this Hadith.

(Sahih Muslim Hadith:578)

Some Fuqaha (Jurists) have stated that it is mustahabb (meritorious) to at least do so up to half way between the elbows and armpits and up to half the shin. This will not be considered as israf (wastage)

(Tahtawi ála durr, vol.1 pg.76, Shami, vol.1 pg.130)...

Sayyiduna ‘Ali (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would recite the following nine Surahs in Witr:

In the first rak’ah: Surah Takathur (Surah 102), Surah Qadr (Surah 97) or Surah Zilzal (Surah 99).

In the second rak’ah: Surah ‘Asr (Surah 103), Surah Nasr (Surah 110) or Surah Kawthar (Surah 108).

In the third rak’ah: Surah Kafirun (Surah 109), Surah Lahab (Surah 111) or Ikhlas (Surah 112)

(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 1 pg. 89, Musnad Bazzar, Hadith: 851 and Musnad Abu Ya’la, Hadith: 460 via a weak chain. Imam Tirmidhi has also recorded a shorter version of this narration, Hadith: 460)

Ref. hadithanswers.com/additional-masnun-surahs-to-recite-in-w...

1. Sayyidatuna ‘Aishah (radiyallahu’anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) would [also] recite the following in the 3 rak’ats of witr:

Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq & Surah Nas.

(Tahawi, vol.1 pg.285)

This has also been reported as the habit of Sayyiduna ‘Umar (radiyallahu’anhu)

(Fadailul Quran of Ibn Durays, Hadith: 292 & Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 6946)

2. It is also sunnah to recite the following surahs instead of the above:

Surah A’la, Surah Kafirun & Surah ikhlas.

(Sunan Abi Dawud, hadith: 1418-1419 & Sunan Tirmidhi, hadith: 462-463)

This is the more popular format.

See: Sharhul Ihya, vol.3 pg.354-355.

When I used to be a kid, after maghrib we will run around the masjid to see the moon for Ramadan/Shawwal. Now I myself, browsing for moonsighting.com and twitter for updates.

In Sha Allah, we must revive the sunnah of Sighting the Moon with our eyes.

'Whoever recites the following du’a in the bazaar/shopping area/malls etc, *will receive a million rewards, one million of his sins shall be forgiven, his rank will be raised by a million stages and (in some narrations) he will receive a palace in Jannah*.'

Five items Nabi (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) would always carry

Question

Is the following narration correct?

عن عائشة، قالت: خمس لم يكن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يدعهن في حضر ولا سفر: المرآة، والمكحلة، والمشط، والمدرى، والسواك

Answer

Imam Tabarani and Hafiz Khatib Al Baghdadi (rahimahumallah) have recorded this narration of Sayyidah 'Aaishah (radiyallahu 'anha).

(Al Mu'jamul Awsat, Hadith: 5238. Refer: Fathul Bari, Hadith: 5924)

Despite one narrator of this chain being declared weak, the narration iscorroborated. Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has cited several supporting narrations.

(Fathul Bari, Hadith: 5924)

The narration is therefore acceptable and may be quoted.

Translation

Sayyidah 'Aaishah (radiyallahu 'anha) says, 'Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) never left five things, whether he was on travel or at home; a mirror, antimony [kuhl], a comb, a stick/metal comb [used for scratching] and a miswak.

And Allah Ta'ala Knows best.
