It appears (from your posts) that you are trying to defend India for the sake of nationalism. Reasons:
1. This thread is about India. So there was no need to mention crimes in Europe and other countries.
2. All of those sexual assaults were committed by Kuffar and victims were Kuffar. Yet everyone is showing sympathy for victims despite their Kufr. So there was no need to get offended.
3. No one of this thread denies that the west isn't perfect.
The women too need to get some piece of cloth to wrap themselves..
Even over here women wear indecent clothes and when someone expresses the feeling in front of her or acts indecently she gets mad!! Who made him do that? Why blame the world when you are causing fitnah!
We say crimes are increasing, family disputes, problems problems, problems.. the problem is not with the world.. the problem is with ourselves that we donot follow the commands of Allah.. Zaharal Fasad.. whose the reason?
A glass broke because of your carelessness.. dont blame the glass.. blame yourself..
Despite all that, feel sorry for the victims.. May Allah grant them hidayah and may he save everyone from anykind of aazmaish or azaab.. ameen.
Rape is a bigger problem in UK and most of the cases are unproven or not contested because the law is really vague in the West. You go out with a girl she has a few drinks and says "No" with a blurred speech...Is it rape or is it hard to get (playing)? In India sexual contact outside of marriage is still not the "Norm"
What is highlighted in India (and Pakistan) is gang-rape and assault which doesn't happen as often in the West but rape itself is more prevalent in America and other countries (not India).
So the media highlights gang-rape and tries to paint a picture of India that its the rape capital of the world when it isn't.
I don't mean to take attention away from this heinous despicable crime nevertheless rape is pretty common in the west and many of the women (used to sex outside of marriage) don't report it and many actually lose the case...
We are supposed to condemn any kind of oppression on anyone. It's not meaningless.
A hypothetical situation:
Son of X has stolen something (and that's true). When it was informed, what should he do?
- if he condemns (at least) his son's crime, it will prove that he is not blinded by love for his son.
- if he tries to divert the complaint, that means he is trying to overlook son's guilt and has been blinded by love for his son.
If X says that yes stealing is very bad, but son of Y, Z are also guilty of stealing. Can it be called condemnation? Obviously not. Rather it reflects an attempt to make son's crime look lighter.
We should love our nation and land, but we must be just and shouldn't be blinded by love. This is very detrimental for Imaan. May Allaah save us all from Asabiyyat and install love for Muslims of all races, all colours and all languages.
I agree with you but the Western media and people are still blinded by hangover from the past Colonialism era the "darkies" in the distance are still portrayed as evil, backwards, barbaric when the West isn't really a shining example of anything themselves...
If you read about British Colonialism Christianity was enforced upon India and Africa because these "darkies" needed to be civilized
I agree with you. The hypothetical situation that I've mentioned, is applicable for those "civilized" westerns as well. They never admit that their whole idea of civilized society is being proven wrong on a daily basis.
It's okay brother. Don't mind. Only Allaah Ta'ala knows what is someone's intention. We can only assume from discernible activities, hence mistakes are inevitable.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
