25JUNE2020: Imran Khan Speech

Today Imran Khan officially and in the Parliament called Osama Bin Ladin a "Shaheed", when you google this incident the most coverage is in the Indian Media with their own twist of affairs.

The main subject of the speech was "One Nation, One Syllabus" i.e. the entire country will have a single school syllabus based on Islam and it is a ground breaking initiative.

The second main part was "Shia-Sunni" avoidance of war between Saudi Arabia and Iran both requesting Pakistan to mediate.

Some ministers are saying that this was a "slip" of the tongue but not a peep or official statement from anyone that it was a mistake by PM in the Parliament.

If dumb Pakistanis can call kaafir like benazir bhutto a shaheed or hamza yusuf calling kuffar firefighters shaheed what's the issue calling a mujahid who have up luxuries to fight for ummah a shaheed? Yes he made a errors of judgment but he is a shaheed and goes in the long lists of warriors like salaahudeen who served this ummah..

A friend once said Usama is today what Ahmed bin hanbal رضي الله عنه was during his days. Both would be used to differentiate between ahle haq and ahle baatil.. Munafiqeen despise both

The levels of Shaheed will not be known to us. The Shaheed will not be known to us. As far as the ones that have been guaranteed Jaanah, they have been named in the Hadith and some of them are still to come in the future when they join the army as per the Hadith.

Some will be Shaheed and fly in the hearts of green birds under the Throne and others are political martyrs and Allah knows best their outcome.

There are Mujahideen who are called Shaheed by many, yet Allah will through them in hell fire.

Better to leave all this in the hands of Allah alone.

I think some people are missing the point here.

The point is not whether usamah is shaheed or not. The point is that Imran called him a shaheed in defiance of the western world. If it was not a mistake then it was a very bold challenge against the West. This raises questions such as what has emboldened him to throw down such a challenge? Why did he call usamah a shaheed and to what extent does/did he support usamah and his ideology. Etc.

I watched the video and to me it did not seem like a mistake. It actually seemed more like a clarification/emphasis.

But only Allah knows who we can and cannot trust in this age.

I think its just a figure of speech.
In Pakistan everyones a Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is shaheed, Zia Ul Haq is a Shaheed , Benazir Bhutto is a Shaheed.

In English word martyr is rarely used...But Shahid is commonly used in Urdu.

Even if this was a slip of the tongue, I believe this is what they call a "Freudian slip". He probably believes this to be true in his heart and in his speech inadvertently let his guard down.

Anyways, I am more gleeful about the reactions from India and the US.
