Msiddiqui, please ignore him.

I only wished to clarify that Najmuddin's excellent post is indeed excellent.

He neither advocated seclusion (as you might've misunderstood), nor did he advocate anything else wrongly imputed upon him. His basic message was, and I quote him:

"Unless and until we realize these trials and tribulations are a result of sinning, there is no possibility of this ending any time soon."

If we had truly realized this simple fact, in mind, heart and soul, then that would've featured prominently in all our discourses and lamentations. Unfortunately, it is virtually non-existent.

Why does discussing and concentrating on atrocities mean no one is focusing on sins?

What does focusing on sins even mean when put opposite of discussing issues? Should everyone start threads discussing their sins or discussing their good deeds?

At what stage would a person be qualified to discuss the issues and educate people about it? When they are pure and free of sin or is there another criteria?

If a person cannot be free from sin then is no one permitted to educate anyone else about issues facing the Muslims? Is the answer "because of sins"? If that is the answer then what is the solution to this?

And "Maulana" Yasin will not be questioned about anything on the day of judgement but this post which has gone over your head and has shattered your exclusionary understanding of Islam.

Thanks for informing him and all of us.

Abstention of sins and turning towards Allah in all conditions and under all circumstances is a fundamental of Islam. It does not change whether you are under the punishment of Allah Ta'ala or under blessings of Allah Ta'ala. We (Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat) believe that even in the time of blessings (no affliction, no problems, no issues) we should continuously turn to Allah Ta'ala and Fear Allah Ta'ala.

Loading Qur'aan Verse

We (Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat) believe that we will be questioned about blessings so it is a given that when afflicted Taubah and turning towards Allah Ta'ala is even more essential

BUT THEN We (Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat) believe that ALONGSIDE it we have to use the Asbaab (tactics of Dunya) to counter the affliction which we find ourselves.

  1. If we get SICK, we turn to Allah Ta'ala but alongside it we also see a Doctor
  2. If we get Work problems, we turn to Allah Ta'ala but alongside it we also analyze the issue and adopt Dunya methods to counter it
  3. If we get targeted (or Islam is targeted), we turn to Allah Ta'ala but alongside it we also analyze the issue and get our Media strategy in order to the best of our ability

Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) in the battle of Bad'r:

  1. Cried to Allah in prostration
  2. In the morning, he looked at his means (men and weapons) devised a strategy and he fought with what he had

We (Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaat) believe that Mushwara is Sunnah so we will speak to our brothers and sisters all over the world and we will do our best under the circumstances in our limited capacity in Palestine, in Kashmir, in Syria, in Turkey, in Mumbai, in London, in Chicago, in Toronto etc.

  • We are NOTHING
  • Our intellect is NOTHING
  • Our efforts are NOTHING
  • Allah Ta'ala is EVERYTHING

You can take your warped exclusionary version of Islam and do whatever you want with it, it has nothing to do with us or Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam)

What I find interesting is how some of these brothers who have popped out of the wilderness just to post in this thread and claim the plight of the Ummah is direct result of our sins should consider whether their very presence on this forum is Haraam or not.

I'm pretty sure if they consulted their respective Mashaikh who they staunchly follow will vehemently condemn their stupidity and regard their actions as gross Haraam.

Allah (SWT) and only He truly knows whether the dismay that's befallen on the Ummah is a reaction of our sins.

Rather interesting how Muslims in the west transgress just as bad, but have never impacted with their wealth being usurped, women raped, kids dying of dire starvation, homes crumbled and are made to beg to the world in humiliation for aid. When the Ummah responds, the very same weirdos will just keep tight lipped and only speak out brazenly when it appears (in their minds) that Muslims are yet again drowning in sin.

Go figure.

Impact of Kashmir on Indian Muslims

  1. Democracy: Majority of Indian Ulama placed their trust in democracy (and representation) and opposed the creation of Pakistan. Indian Muslims (led by their Ulama) thought that democratic process and Indian constitution will protect them.
  2. Anti-Democracy: Others believed that democracy will not prevent the oppression of Muslims simply because of massive numbers of Hindus in India and Muslims are distinct and different to Hindus. This is the two Nation theory which led to creation of Pakistan.

It is my humble opinion that 70 years later, many Indian Muslims are having second thoughts about the "Two nation Theory".
