I think I just got scammed. I needed to renew the address on my driving license.

So I was told you can do it online. I googled and went to the first website that came on top of page on google search.

Drivinglicenseonlineuk.com

Not realising that was an advertised website.

Anyways the application was all dugital application was all official looking.

So I filled out my details including my passport number and direct debit on my bank account they asked for a fee of £35.

It was only when I had filled in my details that I realised. And pressed submit that I had been scammed.

So I phoned my bank they stated all though the payment had not left my bank account. But it was still pending and they could not stop it because I had authorised it. Only thing they could do. Was cancel my card and send out a new one. And that once payment had been made I could dispute it.

Are you consoling yourself by saying that?

Anyway! May Allah replace better with what you have lost. After all, this dunia and it's things are not eternal

Ameen.

I am not consoling myself by saying that ...Trying to make others aware
incase they get scammed.

Financially the fee I was charged is not much so I am not worried about that either ..Also informed my bank so no further withdrawals can be made from my bank account.

But the worry is I gave all my details so that potentially puts me at risk of identity fraud. With scamsters assuming my identity and commuting fraud using my name.

If your with hsbc is you can do a charge back. I did it when i got involved with traffic monsoon and once when i bought tickets for umrah.travel agent sent me 9hr stopover in Riyadh which is not wot they advertised.

Anyway back to charge back u just say u paid for a service n good u didnt get. That's what I did both occasions n alhamdulilah hsbc sent money bk immediately pending investigation and both times the other sides didn't dispute

If you're still with HSBC, you should boycott them ASAP!

Yes, they are all the same. Barclay's also caused issues for UWT but there are other banks that have not targeted individuals like myself and everyone in my family, with the exception of my wife. She boycotted them before they took any action!

HSBC Anti Muslim stance!

UWT Vs HSBC

Alhamdulillah got my money back.

E-mailed website told them I had been in touch with cyber Fraud Police website.

www.actionfraud.police.uk/reporting-fraud-and-cyber-crime

They returned my money and said they would remove all my personal details from their website.

Checked with my bank they said money had been returned to my account.

Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah.
