Someone recently told me that they don’t understand as to why Muslims in the West are so aggressive, rude and extremist in their opinions?

They said that if someone makes a mistake, these Muslims want to shoot the guy and they use words like “Dogs, Bootlickers, Uncle Toms, Sell-outs, Snitches” for fellow Muslims when they perceive a mistake by them.

I believe this assessment to be accurate and I have my thoughts but what do you all think?

I disagree with you.

Which of the West are you talking about? Or is it a specific type of Western individual, if not, then they should meet more people :) Born and bred in the West but nothing like that description, Alhumdulillah.

I disagree with you.

British and South African Muslims are particularly rude and incisive in disagreements

Assalamu alaikum

You also become rude and aggressive when someone makes a mistake or disagrees with you sometimes.

I can't speak for South African Muslim's nor can I speak for all British Muslim's - But you are wrong.

Unless it is of course an observation of peoples reaction towards yourself, then it is possible to find this result.

We haven't met in person ,but all the years you've known me online, would you say I match that description. What I am online is what I am offline, at least in character :)

I hate arrogance. When people claim to have understood something and they actually don't it annoys me.

When I don’t understand something, I simply state the obvious or don’t give an authoritative opinion on the matter…OR I say this is what I have understood

I also get annoyed when people don’t admit mistakes OR defend their Hazrats when their mind has clearly understood the issue.

You are right that all of that annoys me but I am not rude…I am direct and always have been

There is a difference between being “rude” and “direct” and loads of people have told me that in real life and forums.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Is this problem isolated to just the Muslims or also found in the non Muslims of the west?

@Muadh

I am from the West, I am Muslim, I was born in the UK, I went to state schools, college, Uni and local Madrasah.

In your personal opinion, am I a Muslim from the West that is aggressive, rude and extremist in my opinions?

I wouldn't quite say this is a problem that exists specifically in the West. People like these are found almost everywhere in the Muslim world.

bint e aisha - No point explaining to him. He won’t see it. I have read many a post of his in context of a whole thread. A person asked a genuine question & Mu’adh went off on one capitalising, highlighting in red, being condescending. May the Almighty guide him. Sadly, he can’t seem to see beyond himself.

He is a retired military man so because of his military background, it is natural for him to get aggressive. I know it from personal experience. Also he has pakhtoon blood in him. These people are hot tempered but are very sensitive and nice from the inside.

You don't represent the whole of Western Muslim community. Do you? Are you everyone or just a one?
