Perfect, Perfect, Perfect response, Masha'Allah from Mufti Rafi Usmani Saheb (HA).

The recent decision by the Supreme Court is a cause of great concern and anxiety for the Muslim Ummah. It is therefore the right of Muslims of Pakistan to protest peacefully.

The law and order situation of this country (Pakistan) has deteriorated due to this decision and the situation demands that legal steps should be taken to address this decision. We demand that the Government take two immediate steps:

  1. File an appeal for the Supreme court to reconsider its decision
  2. Asia Bibi should be immediately placed on the E.C.L (Exit control list) so she is unable to leave the country

At the same time, I appeal to all Muslim brothers to absolutely refrain and abstain from harming each other, the property of each other and the property of the nation and the country.

Mufti-e-Azam Maulana Muhammad Rafi Usmani (HA)

Also I wanted to point out that the hadith you have quoted does not apply in this situation, since it is speaking about Muslims.

Sayyidina Aisha (RA) narrated that Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) said, "Avoid applying legal punishment upon the Muslims if you are capable. If the criminal has a way out, then leave him to his way. Verily, it is better for the leader to make a mistake forgiving the criminal than it is for him to make a mistake punishing the innocent. Yes Sister and I have stated my ambiguity in my post but the principle of doubt (which stems from the Hadeeth) applies to entire Islamic law and ensuing punishments.

The decision by the CJP is absolutely mind-boggling and clearly contrary to the rule of law. In it he cites a lack of proof as the reason for her acquittal. Proof is only required when the defendant hasn't confessed and thus the onus of proving the guilt is upon the accuser. In this case, the FIR had been registered against her only when she had confessed in front of the whole panchayat of her village. Then when the police SP investigated the case, he went to her along with a couple of female police constables in jail, where she again confessed. Then at the court which passed the death sentence, her confession was recorded there as well. Which is the reason that 2 judges convicted her. Now, all of a sudden, those testimonials are not proof?
Goes to show that the CJP is just as corrupt as the politicians in Pak no matter what projects he initiates towards the betterment of the country. If we are not strong enough to defend the honor of Prophet SAW, then to hell with the dams. What use will they be to us on the Day of Judgement?

More bad news from Pakistan. Maualan Sami ul Haq assassinated in Rawalpindi. :(

He was pro-PTI so can't rule out Barelvi elements behind this. However, it is equally likely that this was orchestrated to divide the Barelvi and Deobandi elements at a time when they are putting up a rare united front. Divide-and-conquer, as they say.

i dont much about this case and blasphemy in general but if one is to be punished for it does it have the same strict criteria as other sins which have a hadd? eg four upright people being witnesses to the offense? or can it yo by hearsay? iv only see what bbc news ( zio friendly) say she had an arguement and then was accused of insulting prophet (saw).

^^Mufti Azam America has done a great job at pleasing America! How strange, he is calling Chief Justice Saqib Nisar an Islamic qadhi and Asia Bibi a dhimmi!

Alhamdulillah we have thousands of Ulama-e-Haq in Pakistan, we do not need fatawa and farameen from America or India.

He is not even the Mufti-Azam of New York, let alone Mufti-Azam of America :lol

I know that we have problems in America but we still have not stooped this low for this dude to be Mufti-Azam, yet...
