Moon was not sighted anywhere in Britain. However, we have received credible and verified news of Moon Sighting from Morocco, our closest Muslim country. Wifaqul Ulama have therefore decided that 29 days of Sha'baan will be completed and Ramadan1438 will begin from Saturday, the 27th of May 2017.

i raised this issue before and il raise it again. it comes across as if wifaqul just blind follow morroco and s.africa.

if them two didnt see moon today but all the other countries which Muadh has posted did what would wifaqul have done? rejected them cos morroco didnt see? today was clear sky and nothing was seen we should of completed 30. its either we follow any country or be totally independent.

I think this will answer your question.

Also, from what I understand/understood is that if the moon was below the horizon for the UK then we probably would have to start on Sunday. This is where the science/technology comes in use for further assistance.

Your analysis is accurate about the moon being on the British horizon. Multiple consultations before, during and after the Hilaal sighting were conducted.

Astronomical data was widely made available and in time to hundreds of Scholars. Preparations and consultations prior to yesterday, made this was a fairly easy call to make on the day.

This image is from Moonsighting.org from this page

And it is almost identical to what we saw that night. It didn't increase in length as we would expect from a chemtrail, neither did it disappear from its location or even dim, it was very bright. It went down towards the horizon and finally faded away.
