Hazrat Bin Ghulam

Sir,I understand your point, the only thing which I can't understand is this :

You keep saying the first and last objective is Quran and Sunna still you seem to promote kashaf as the 'integral' part of Tasawwuf. Do you think every Sufi 'must' have kashaf to prove his Walayat OR in other words there is no Tasawwuf without this particular ability of kashaf ?

Sir, I am sure there is no one here who 'hates' AWLIA' , how can we hate AWLIA when Allah loves them ? Probably our definition of a wali is different from yours ? May be we consider all those who strive to gain the pleasure of Allah by following kitab & Sunna as AWLIA irrespective of whether they belong to any silsila or not..leave alone your Owaisi silsila ... May be we include all the mujahideen in this definition and all the scholars and all those who work day and night to spread the name of Allah and the message of the Prophet pbuh to every corner of planet earth ?
You see sir,it is not written anywhere that 'only' those people are AWLIA who gets bayat in a silsila, perform some dhikr in a particular way and gets the ability of kashaf as a result or as a reward.

Even 'Dhikr' has got a much more wider meaning than what you seem to think. It is not 'just' limited to dhikr through breathing or the perceived 'dhikr e Qalbi'. The best dhikr is Quran and masnoon adhkar..and in its essence dhikr is 'rememberance' of Allah swt by whatever means which stops us from committing sins and makes us alert towards the consequences of our deeds in akhera.

Respected sir,Alhamdolillah no one amongst us is an enemy of AWLIA, may be there is some difference of opinion regarding certain definitions or terminologies ?
As for kashaf...as we don't consider it as an 'integral' part of Wilayat it is a bit too much to call us an enemy of AWLIA by using this criteria. These things might be your criteria for Wilayat...not ours :)

He is 100 % correct with that quote.. Kashf is not Restricted to or a Criteria for being a Wali.. Kashf can be indeed experienced by Lunatics.. Animals and non muslims alike..even donkeys can have kashf.

Kindly Note..

3. The First lesson of Tasawwuf is NOT Lataif but " Inna mal A'malu bin niyyah" ..

The objective of Tasawwuf is character building.. Not Zen buddhism..

Truth about Silsila Naqshbandia “O”waisia: Shajrah Discussions

Naqshbandia “O”waisia Sharjrah:

One of the first and foremost things which a person needs to look at in a Tassawuff SilSila is the Shajrah (chain of transmission). Here is the Shajrah of this “cult”:

  1. Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Sal-Allahu Alaih Wasallam
  2. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique Razi-Allah Anhu
  3. Hazrat Hassan Basri Rehmatullah Alaih
  4. Hazrat Daood Tai Rehmatullah Alaih
  5. Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi Rehmatullah Alaih
  6. Hazrat Ubaidullah Ahrar Rehmatullah Alaih
  7. Hazrat Abdur Rahman Jami Rehmatullah Alaih
  8. Hazrat Abu Ayub Muhammad Saleh Rehmatullah Alaih
  9. Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen Allah Deen Madni Rehmatullah Alaih
  10. Hazrat Maulana Allah Yar Khan Rehmatullah Alaih

Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) Naqshbandia Sharjrah:

In case of Naqshbandi SilSila the accepted Muajjadid who revived the SilSIla is Imām Rabbānī Shaykh Ahmad al-Farūqī al-Sirhindī Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) [1564-1624]. There is pretty much consensus on his Authority and impact upon Tassawuff and NOBODY disagrees. His contribution and reformation of the Naqshbandi SilSila is even greater.

Here is the Chain of this great ACCEPTED & AGREED UPON Mujaddid of Naqshbandi SilSila:

  1. Prophet Muhammad, d.11AH, buried Medina SA (570/571 - 632 CE)
  2. Abu Bakr, d.13AH, buried Medina, Saudi Arabia
  3. Salman al-Farsi, d.35AH buried Madaa'in, Saudi Arabia
  4. Qasim ibn Muhammad ibn Abu Bakr, d.107AH buried Medina, Saudi Arabia.
  5. Jafar Sadiq, (after which moves to Iran) d 148AH buried Medina, Saudi Arabia.
  6. Bayazid Bastami, d 261AH buried Bistaam, Iraq (804 - 874 CE).
  7. Abu al-Hassan al-Kharaqani, d 425AH buried Kharqaan, Iran.
  8. Abul Qasim Gurgani, d.450AH buried Gurgan, Iran.
  9. Abu Ali Farmadi, (after which moves to Turkmenistan) d 477AH buried Tous, Khorasan, Iran.
  10. Abu Yaqub Yusuf Hamadani, d 535AH buried Maru, Khorosan, Iran.
  11. Abdul Khaliq Ghujdawani, d 575AH buried Ghajdawan, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  12. Arif Reogari, d 616AH buried Reogar, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  13. Mahmood Anjir-Faghnawi, d 715AH buried Waabakni, Mawarannahr, Uzbekistan.
  14. Azizan Ali Ramitani, d 715AH buried Khwarezm, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  15. Muhammad Baba Samasi, d 755AH buried Samaas, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  16. Amir Kulal, d 772AH buried Saukhaar, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  17. Muhammad Baha'uddin Naqshband, d 791AH buried Qasr-e-Aarifan, Bukhara, Uzbekistan (1318–1389 CE).
  18. Ala'uddin Attar Bukhari, buried Jafaaniyan, Mawranahar, Uzbekistan.
  19. Yaqub Charkhi, d 851AH buried in Tajikistan
  20. Ubaidullah Ahrar, d 895AH buried Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
  21. Muhammad Zahid Wakhshi, d 936AH buried Wakhsh, Malk Hasaar
  22. Durwesh Muhammad, d 970AH buried Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
  23. Muhammad Amkanaki, (after which moves to India) d 1008AH buried Akang, Bukhara, Uzbekistan.
  24. Razi ūd-Dīn Muhammad Baqī Billah, d 1012AH buried Delhi, India.
  25. Ahmad al-FarÅ«qÄ« al-SirhindÄ«, d 1034AH buried Sarhand, India (1564–1624 CE)

Comparison between Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) & Maulana Allah Yar Khan (RA) Sharjrah:

  1. It took Imām Rabbānī Shaykh Ahmad al-Farūqī al-Sirhindī Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) [1564-1624] 24 chains to link to Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam).
  2. 283 years LATER It took Maulana Allah Yar Khan (RA) just 9 Links to Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam)
  3. Imām RabbānÄ« Shaykh Ahmad al-FarÅ«qÄ« al-SirhindÄ« Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) [1564-1624] has been bypassed entirely!

Naqshbandia “O”waisia Sharjrah Missing Mashaykh:

  1. Uwais Qarni [594-657] upon whose name the SilSila is named after is MISSING
  2. Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari [1318-1389] is MISSING
  3. Imām Rabbānī Shaykh Ahmad al-Farūqī al-Sirhindī Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) [1564-1624] the absolute bedrock of Naqshbandi SilSila is MISSING

Here is the Ultimate Kicker!

The 11th spot in the Shajrah is missing, you must ask yourself why is that? THEY CLAIM that it is the spot for Mahdi (AS). Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) made the same claim 290 years and he is the Mujaddid of the SilSila so who do you believe?

A Mujaddid or a DIY Artist?

Mujaddid Alf Thani (RA) is NOT even in the Chain of these DIY boys so their SIlsila has nothing to do with him.

So who do we trust? “Mujaddid” Alf Thani (RA) OR those who don’t even know how to spell Owais ?

The first question has to be asked you say tasawuff is zikrullah. Who in the history of sulook has defined it like this? Yes, zikr is an important element of tasawuff but to claim that it is limited to isme zaat is not heard of in Islamic history. Also as has been mentioned by others zikr has a very vast and wide definition which you seem to have ignored.

Did you read the objections by maulana yusuf ludianvi? If we agree that kashf is not too important why do you give so much importance to kashf? What is rohani bait? Is that not through kashf? How about kashf ul quboor? You guys talking about the maqam of others? Is this all not kashf? Your shaykh claiming to take hazrat madni rh up in maqam is that not all kashfi and thus prone to error?

How do you know we possess zero knowledge of tasawuff. Brother alhamdulillah I am aware of lataif and do zikr on lataif. Is this based on your kashf? Sorry I don't understand. Also why are you limiting sulook to zikr on lataif. I have come across sufi shaykhs and silsilas who know nothing about lataif but they are far more advanced then you. You know maulana allah yar khan rh in dalail us sulook quotes from kitab ul ibriz and shaykh dabbagh. Shaykh dabbagh did not do zikr on lataif but rather focused on durood sharif. Would your reasoning apply to him.

Possessing Kashf is not a great wonder. Even if a Kafir struggles and trains, he can experience it. Such that even Lunatics can have it. ( lecture- Ilm wa Amal ki Fazeelat P: 34).

Thus we learn that Kashf is not a Mark of Wilyat, neither a Proof for anyone and not a great wonder.
When People of Batil and other creatures (animals) are also associated with it , then how does considering the same as a sign of wilayat and deeming it as a proof for others be appropriate?.

Hazrat Anas رضي الله عنه narrates from Nabi (saw) that when a kafir is being questioned in the grave and he is not able to answer, he then receives punishment, to which he groans and screams. And this cry of his is heard by all except mankind and jinns.

(Sahih Bukhari, Vol I, P:184)

This voice is heard not only by animals in the proximity (of the grave) but this condition is Munkashif (revealed by kashf) upon animals from east to west .

(Sunan Abi Dawood, Vol II, P: 298)

We come to know now that Allah سبحانه وتعالى lifts the curtains of the invisible world at times even upon animals and the conditions prevailing in Barzakh are exposed before them.

If Kashf was supposed to be a mark of excellence in Wilayat, then you tell us if these animals were not to be considered as Wali Kamil ?

Hakeem ul ummat Hazrat Thanwi رحمة الله عليه comments:

Rasoolullah (saw) speaks about punishment of the grave that except mankind and jinns everyone else hears it. And we came to know the reality of Kashf Quboor that even animals can experience. Thus it is not a matter of excellence for mankind to quest for.

(lecture- Al Mawdat Al Rahmaniyah, P: 32)

Once Nabi (saw) was passing by the orchard of Banu Najjar that suddenly his mule began to panic and was close to make him fall.

It came to notice the presence of some graves there. Upon inquiry he was informed that some people from times of Jahiliya were buried there.

(Sahih Muslim Vol 2, P: 386)

We learn now that even animals can experience kashf of the torment of grave. Allah سبحانه وتعالى opened this vision to a mule and he panicked as a result.

Nabi (saw) said “ innahum liyuazzibuna fi quburihim tasmauhu Al baha’im) ( someone can translate from Arabic)

(Mawarid At’Taman, P: 200)

Janab Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan sahab of Barelwi accepts that even donkeys could experience kashf. He says:

We had been to Egypt. There was a huge gathering at a certain place. Saw there was a man with a donkey that was blindfolded. An object belonging to someone was kept with another man. The donkey was then asked. The donkey went through the entire crowd. When he reached the man who possessed the object, he bowed his head down.

Thus, understand that an attribute (kashf) which can be attached with a non human is not something of excellence for mankind. And that which is attached with non Muslims is not a matter of excellence for a Muslim.

(Malfuzaat Vol 4, P:11)

The complier of Malfuzaat Ala Hazrat comments on this incident:

Kashf can be experienced by Muslims and at times even by Non Muslims.
If this Egyptian donkey had Kashf, then it was the result of his training. It wasn’t a divine endowment that he was to be known as the Wali of Egypt.

Thus we know that to ascribe kashf as an important title for wilayat and to base it as a foundation for wilayat is incorrect.

At times by striving and training oneself, some matters of invisible world are reflected upon.
The Mukashfaat of Ahle Batil are a result of such training or granted by Shaytani Tawajjuh.

"Shall I tell you on whom the devils descend? They descend on every sinful liar. They give ear to hear (secretly,) and most of them tell lies."

(Surah Ash-Shuara 221-223) (Translation: Hazrat Mufti Taqi usmani sahab(db))

We learn from this that evil-doers, liars, transgressors, vicious people, those covered in sins, when the secrets of the invisible are divulged to them, then the forces of Shaytan work in their background.

These unfortunate ones receive spiritual benefits from shaytan.

From the above mentioned details it becomes apparent that the accepted ones of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and Muqarrabeen in the court of Almighty sometimes are disclosed with the secrets of the invisible world and they see the world of unseen.

The Qur’an and Hadith have informed us of this and the incidents of sahabah (radh) and Awlia bears testimony to it.

Yes, in the light of Shari’ah , Kashf is NOT a proof and neither it is perceived to be a sign of Wilayah (sainthood). And neither do the awlia consider their Kashf to be a Hujjat (Proof) for anyone. And neither do they give a ruling on a case or injunction through their kashf.

On matters of Halal and Haram, permissible and impermissible, these people consider following Mujhtahideen as matter of salvation for both the worlds. Albeit, in the world of wilayat their ascent is very high.

Such that in the flight of wilayat, many modestly traverse the stations of sulook and Allah سبحانه وتعالى shows them strange sights.. Traversing their journey in the spiritual world.

These men of Allah سبحانه وتعالى even after beholding such strange sights, do not cross the lines of the pristine shari’ah. Their reality lies in adhering to Sunnah and abstinence from Bid’ah and this is the message of the Qur’an and the teaching of bearer of Qur’an Hazrat Khatim un Nabi’een (saw) .

(Salawat and salam upon Nabi kareem (saw) )

END
