Yes. Had them both before and they didn't work for me for my back. Even the traditional Chinese cupping didn't work. However, the Sunnah method of the cupping worked for me, i.e. Blood letting.

But, these methods of acupuncture and acupressure have worked for my dad.

The reason why it works for some and doesn't work for others is that most of them who practice acupuncture or other therapies don't use diagnosis method.

Example, a headache can be due to migraine, sinusitis, stress etc. Again in migraine in the method I learnt there are of two types, one is due to stagnation in gall bladder, this is bearable, the second one is due to stagnation in stomach, this is unbearable. We check pulse to diagnose more accurately and this method works in almost all people.
