Assalamu Alaykum,

I'm currently on the PM feature of the new update and wondered if it would be useful to the members to have multiple recipients options?

I ask because it'll take a little work and wondered if it's not too important. Will it encourage spam? Should it be limited to 5 recipients? Once sent, it's treated as individual PM's. Feedback appreciated

Can't think of a situation where same pm has needed to be sent to more than one person. Maybe the other authorizers might feel it would be helpful as they probably use the pm's more with the brothers.

I asked for a similar feature some time ago.

I think a CC and reply to all seems really helpful.

There have been times when I've had to PM a few people individually and did it many times before.

Down side could be that we could be CC'd into PMs of people's arguments! Can you imagine that!

Maybe, a CC for us would be great and leave out the reply to all, recipients should be able to see whose been cc'd too.

Sorry if that's too much to ask, but I've kinda waited a long time for it and since you asked, I'm assuming you'd like it too.

Whoops!

I had to do a quick edit there above, I thought this thread was in the Authorizer section! Phew, lucky I checked. Otherwise I may have upset one or two individuals, (hint)

In case you're wondering what I wrote, don't worry, it was less than a short sentence regarding being cc'd into someone else's argument.

Really wouldn't want to play referee! Especially when two right's don't make a wrong and two wrongs don't make a right.

@Maulana, this cc feature will be handy for authorizers in my opinion.

Also, there should be an option to report a received PM. Sometimes a member may get bullied unintentionally.

Members could have the option of who they wish to block as well as having a default option of blocking all PM altogether (but we all know how great this feature is)

Members should remember that PMs between mixed genders need authorising regardless. So not necessary to block sisters, but can if they want that extra assurance.

Excellent

1. It won't work like CC, it'll basically a quick way to send the same PM to more than 1. Then each PM is processed individually and auth checks take place such as pending or straight through.

2. Report PM - jazakallah. This was requested by a few members previously.

Will it be possible to have a search option within the PM section to search for a PM like we would for an email.

Or possibly an option to have PM sorted by name etc...just makes it easier to find something especially when I have like 32 pages of searching.

Unlimited PM storage if possible would be nice, might not be realistic though.

I remember when I would constantly delete my PM's as it would near 100% full. But the PM's have all been important so I kept them and now I'm on 628% full, I hope that's ok with Maulana (unless its specific for authorizers)

Oh. I increased limit but left old code for the quota check.

Abu mohammed, yes authorizes have a larger quota.

You can filter pm by members already by clicking their username in the list of pm.

And yes, a search feature is a good idea. Would be useful. Jzk

I've just gone through my PMs. I didn't know they could be arranged in order of sender, that really helped.

I be managed to bring my quota down to 170% with only 9 pages and most of them from admin and a few from others.

Here's the suggestion:
Please add a delete button next to the reply button. Most of the PMs in my inbox are "Jazakallah, sorry, and how can I do that"

I guess with the delete button, I could just delete them as soon as it's been read rather than going back to the inbox, selecting the PM and then deleting it.

I've only deleted most of my inbox messages because of the short PMs that weren't needed.

What is important for me is the sent items, because that's where the real stuff is :)

Could there be a number count or pages for that particular section (sent items ) too. I find myself scrolling down for ever, to the never-ending bliss :)

Sent Items doesn't save a copy for you. If the recipient deletes it from their inbox, it'll go from your inbox. That's how PMs work mostly to save space otherwise there'd be 2 copies.
