Assalamu Alaykum,

The long awaited attachment feature has now been added. You can attach unlimited number of files to any post (maybe a quota might be added later).

To attach a file, first submit your post. Then view your post and above the post where the edit and quote buttons are should be a new button "Attachments"

If it doesn't show up, it means you're either not logged in or that forum category doesn't allow attachments.

Currently, images, doc and pdf are permitted. Support for more may be added in future or upon request.

Wassalam

I hope this is a good addition and makes attaching files much easier than before.

The old page to manage the attachments has not yet been removed so you can either edit your post or simply use the old attachments page (button next to edit) while it's still there.

Attachments can now be managed directly from the posting page. I've added a few to ensure it works.

I still dont see an attachment option whilst typing this message.

The attachment option will only appear after I post this.

The options below (using plain editor) are 3; Post Reply, Go Advanced and Mod Rules. (The 3rd option is only for authorizers to see)

Another great addition here would be the CENTER code as you have for BOLD etc.

OK, I see it in the HTML Editor, but with the PC here, I'm using XP and IE8 I think.

The reason why I can't always use HTML Editor is because of Compatability View. The number of times I have to refrain from posting in the News section is terrible.

Plain editor and html editor both have attachments. Can you send me a screenshot of yours if it's different?

This only shows up on post.html "Go Advanced" page. Not quick reply (quick reply is for quick replies)

Ok, I mostly use quick reply. So that explains it. But I dont see any other option to post in any other way except right at the top or unless I click on Go Advanced or Post Reply, where I do get to see it.

Can you add it to the quick reply page too.

I use the center code quite a lot, especially if there are images, and as you know, I post a lot of them.

Can you add the code as a button. I would rather have that code instead of the bullit points or the url link, even the B or I or U could be removed because they are so easy to add. but to type center every time...

Nope, Can you give me a couple of seconds while I up load the screen shot. Also please take a look at my post above, I have changed it a little.

Another issue is that as soon as a code is used, my whole lay out changes from normal to colours here and there.

If a page does not have a coding used on it, the lay out is fine.

Sorry, I know this is to do with attachments, and should be in the BUGS thread, but this is 2 in 1.
