Was that meant to be a joke in line with the post, good one :)

Naala - String - Thread...

If it wasn't meant to be a joke, then shall I lock the thread? You know, tie it with a knot and lock it

So what is the difference?

Quote:
The Croat mercenaries used a scarf around the neck to hold together the opening of their shirts.

Isn't this the same sort of idea as the Naala (pull string on trousers), or even shoes in the old days

The idea is to hold the two sides together or get a grip.

Yep, the Croats could have just used a button :)

Croats are predominantly Roman Catholic, and before Christianity they adhered to Slavic paganism. The earliest record of contact between the Pope and the Croats dates from a mid-7th century entry in the Liber Pontificalis. Pope John IV (John the Dalmatian, 640–642)

So Croats were Christians then..? even in the war of 1618-1648?
and they helped a Catholic king..
and lived under Ottomans

No one is claiming they were Muslims who went to France, Allahu Alum.

Muslims did offer protection to non Muslims, but that's a different topic altogether. The non Muslims would also send their children to be trained and bought up as Muslims, like Dracula and his brother!

I don't think ties are used for keeping the shirt tight, the buttons also have a purpose.

Those who wear, they usually unwillingly wear it due to secular educational system compulsions, who claim smartness achievements, if wearing a tie.

Besides that the tie is a symbolic cloth for pornographers, in our times.

Getting a dislike after the original post was completely edited, is very unfair.

I'm guessing it was accidental. Not blaming anyone, just something to think about

Editing major parts of a post or making changes after replies have been posted are a little unfair.

Should anyone wish to change a statement, do it under the correct circumstances.

Brother, the topic is of the origin, not what it is used for now or how people have made other uses for it. There are many things like that that were used one way and then manipulated by another to suit their use.

I love sweaters like this. Exactly my style (if it was with a neck collar), in all seriousness. Hope I don't get branded as a lover of kufr culture...

I'm still baffled.

But brother Muadh, jumpers are worn by pornographers in our time, they take penicillin and fly by aeroplanes too :O

Anyway, I may be wrong, I have no idea as to how a tie is a symbol of pornography, not that I wear one or even need to wear one!

Quite frankly, I really don't want to get into details of how it's a symbol.

The sister wanted to know the origin and that's what we've found.

This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.
