In Malabar South West India there is a tradition of shafii scholars. They have many barelvi elements but without fanaticism.

But the reason why I am making this thread is because of a recent comment on Marifah Forums by Irfan Ibn Ismail who is from Malabar. Ismail writes:

"Although it is coinciding with what the scholars i take knowledge from also say, but it seems there is this view being spread around among Muslims through half baked individuals that offensive Jihad is somehow the overwhelming majority view that Muslims are somehow ashamed to admit and practice, as well as furthermore that even among those who considered offensive as permissible, it being equated as some kind of imperial notion of colonization to form a one world one government ideal (where even spreading Islam is actually less important to them and instead political dominions is important), rather than many other reasons why offensive battle is valid (where spreading knowledge of Islam is not achievable except through that, or offensive battle being the norm international law where either you go one offensive or someone else will be on offensive against you anyway, or offensive battle because theoreticians of the past considered it as key to remaining a powerful nation that the nation has to always expand, and maybe other reasons which don't apply to our times). "

Ismail is writing this regarding the document published by leading apostate scholars called "Letter to Baghdadi". There is a reference to Shaykh Wahba Al Zuhayli from Syria. He is known for his writings about Jihad. There he explains that the islamic concept of offensive jihad Jihad al Talab is abrogated in this time. Zuhayli admits his apostasy by this statement since he abrogates a ruling which was known before. However Ismail does not understand this. Ismail thinks that the majority opinion of scholars of the past is that there is no offensive jihad. But this is ignorance. Zuhayli clearly says that all scholars spoke for offensive jihad but he considers it not be valid in this time.

This is not the first time that Ismail behaves like that. He thinks everything salafis say is contradicted by the classical scholars actually. Indeed this is a big apostate ignorant from Kerala.

Yes exactly. He refuses many verdicts because he is very ignorant. But he is doing this out of arrogance and his hatred for salafis.

Bro, you have some serious issues with making takfeer so easily man! All your posts and threads are almost all takfeeri.

I hope you've heard the Hadith about the one who calls another a Kafir and he's not and the kufar returns to him.

Be careful man. Because if the finger you are pointing is wrong, look where the other 3 fingers point.



Having a discussion and making people aware of the errors is one thing, but labelling them outright is another.

Your verdict and who is that supported by ? On what basis are you giving verdicts ? A layman has no authority to pass verdicts.

Fear Allah you are not a mufti who can pass verdicts, if a scholar has passed a verdict then please do raise it, but stop issuing verdicts of takfeer etc yourself, this is a grave issue, please don't take it lightly.
