I am presenting these critiques not to start a flame war. I have learned about Islam exclusively from Deobandi scholars and their books, but I have to admit that there is truth to what Dr. saheb is saying.

Dr Israr Ahmed (RA) is right to a large extent but nobody will admit it. It has been nearly 140+ years since the establishment of Deobandi (reformist) movement and a lot of what it originally refuted as indeed crept into the movement itself.

Powerful Ulama and their movements in Islam took the same route as history tells us.
