Assalam u alykum,

People say that;
Qabiliyat asal cheez nahi, Asal cheez Qaboliyat hai.

What is meant by qaboliyat? Heart there are many things that come under it..
The ones i know are

1- Allah Ta'la accepts that person for His deen.
He starts serving some branch of deen.
2- He becomes naafe , is beneficial for others.

Please add more.

Good try!!

All these books that we read.. they demand Amal! And its a pity that we are too weak to fulfil their demands..

But..
What if a student of knowledge..Doesnt have any sign of acceptance... Does that mean..
All those memorization.. all that hardwork has been drained?

Or does that mean that Allah did'nt chose him or accept him for serving His deen?
Two different things ^

I believe brother Arslan or brother sulaimam84 gave a great answer to this query some time ago. I've been trying to find the thread but I can't recall the title.

"Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)." (Translation- Muhsin Khan)

I once heard a lecture before Jumu'a salah. Respected Moulana recited that verse and said that doing plenty of service for Deen eg. donating for Masajid, Madaris etc is futile if that service can't take him ultimately in Jannah. I pondered upon it and found correlation among other lectures which I heard in Tablighi majalis. Tablighi elders emphasize a lot on this "Qubooliyyat" issue.

Regarding your query, just imagine a Taalibe 'ilm is studying a lot, painstakingly trying to learn lessons etc, but unfortunately something is severely wrong in his intention or path due to which he is deprived of the acceptance of Allaah سبحانه وتعالى. Surely that person is solely responsible for his action. Allaah سبحانه وتعالى gave him chance to serve His Deen but that guy ruined the opportunity himself. Mirza Gulam Qadiyani or Ahmed Reza Khan studied and learned a lot about Deen, but the lack of Qubooliyyat made them founders of two notorious sects.

السلام عليكم

Regarding Maqbuliyat..or Qubooliyat.. I shall put forward the words of Hazrat Shaikh Zulfiqar Ahmed Naqshbandi sahab db.. he said in one of his bayans that

" If u ever want to know ur Maqam (position) in the eyes of Allah سبحانه وتعالى that ur Qubool (accepted) or not.. introspect urself .. see to which effort or shugl Allah سبحانه وتعالى has engaged u in.. remember.. in the way that one never makes a Million dollar race horse pull a donkey cart.. the same is with Allah سبحانه وتعالى that he never allows his Muqarrabeen (near ones / loved ones) to indulge themselves in the donkey work of duniya.. that he puts them in some effort of his deen.."

so.. when we see our selves.. the yearning in our hearts to either live and die for this duniya or for the sake of deen.. the matter comes clear to us.. that when the most exalted ArRahman wants to favour someone he gives them the faham of deen..

And as a sign of Acceptance from Allah سبحانه وتعالى for any amal is the Taufeeq for the next amal..

duas..

Wa Assalam..

Maulana Ilyas Ali (London) once said to someone that "Mukhalafat (opposition) qubooliyat ki nishani hei" when friends became hateful and spiteful on some good work that was started.

He said that since the time of Nabi (s.a.w) there has been Mukhalafat in every aspect of Deeni work in one form or another. With the Prophet, his own people, tribe and family turned against him. With other works, colleagues and friends as well as family turn against you.

I mean, even a simple web site or blog can have severe Mukhalafat. As long as Deeni work is with Mashwarah/consent/guidance of Ulamaa-e-Haq then don't let Mukhalafat shake you as that's a sign of acceptance.

(Please don't get me wrong, I understand what respected Mawlana meant.)

Based on the aforementioned statement a Barelwi can argue that their green flag party has attained Qubooliyat because Khawarij (Salafis) and Wahhabis (Deobandis) hate their ishq for Rasool (saw).

A Madhkhali can argue that their circus party is accepted because Ahle bida'h and Mushrikeen (Deobandis and Barelwis) hate their steadfastness on Quran-Sunnah.
