What clear rejection of the shariah by the devil in angel form. Sahabiyat were told not to talk with leniency because the one with disease in his heart will think bad. They were not told to ignore. This angel advised you to keep aside you modesty. Totally normal posts normal according to which standard? Maybe the goof was right and the angel was the robber of your haya.

Sorry Maulana Yasin but somethings become just unbearable. Can you see how the evil is portrayed as the norm and the good is portrayed as the goof. How roles are switched of angel and goof.

Respected brother, who told you i was talking with ''leniency'' in the quoted posts?

And you're right. I shouldn't have called him a goof so i took it off, right.

What are our primary objectives as muslims? Acquiring taqwa and haya. Haya is part of iman. Cultivation of taqwa is a requsite of Iman. Instead of employing the chance to cultivate haya in a sister the angel advises her to ignore all such objections? What message are we giving to the masses?

Calling someone the devil should not be taken lightly.

I am almost certain just this much was sufficient for everyone

My biggest concern for this place is that it might become like Ummah forum. There is a possibility though but I hope that never happens.

If it ever does I'll be the first one to leave as it'll be of no benefit to me then.

I've read many of your posts on SF where you had a knack of putting up a smiley:D and aww'n a few times. Really put me off.

I agree with brother, Jinn. One of the reasons why I left SF despite it coming to a stand still.

This isn't SF, so please leave the past and other sites where they are. Any errors made in the past, inshaAllah, Allah will forgive us from His infinite bounties.

This is MS and the sister is considered new here. No need to bring any of the past here please.

Huh? Oh ok i guess im missing something...

Lemme just confirm with you's that i wasn't a born saint, unfortunately. And yes, initially on SF i used a lot of halaal smileys like .... :D ... :) ... :P ..... alhamdulillah, thereafter, i stopped using them completely with ghair mahrah and only used them with sisters.

As far as aw/aww is concerned, i miss the boat. Aww is, (i hate to say) pretty normal. Its just like saying 'shame' or am i getting it wrong.

I'm really glad i put you off.

Wslm.

Considering theirs only a handful of active sisters on the forum, it's a little sad that many old threads are being scrutinized and dug up to prove a point.

Alhumdulillah admins and authorizers have very effectively dealt with inappropriate interaction...without naming and shaming members...as some times all it takes is a reminder.

We have had to read disrespectful and inappropriate posts and pm's from brothers and we have never publicly on the forum treated them any different or pointed them out or their faults.

Please a little respect and tolerance towards each other, we continue learning until we die, so irrespective of our titles, gender etc, we will make mistakes, and err along the way....a bit of understanding and tolerance goes a long way.

When I was new here, a sister replied to a post like this:

Aww abu mohommed.

Anyways, I got a little frantic and I decided to ask directly why it was being used. I didn't want any sympathy from anyone, let alone sisters. It was bugging the living daylights out of me.

Khair, Alhumdulillah, I later found out that it was meant to be AsSalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wabarakathu.

That's another reason for not liking LOL, because I've never known it for Laughing out loud.

I'll see if I can find the relevant posts and share them for Aww and LoL.

I've always used Aww...as an abbreviation for the full salam and still do, learnt it through respected ulama, and another respected scholar uses Aa....don't understand the issue with it.

Khayr....everyone to their own way of thinking and understanding, especially my latest critique who keeps 'disliking' my posts...you are right, I still have a lot to learn.
