(salaam)

I wonder what kind of hair oil do people use in different countries? I generally use coconut oil, but due to some inconveniences now I am using almond oil:

والسلام

Always have used olive oil, a touch of it usually does the trick. I don't like other oils as they stink lol, olive oil is good plus it's Sunnah.

Same here, very little amount though. Although the Sunnah was otherwise.

Olive it is. (Zaytun)

Plus it's much better than gels, wax and all the hair styling creams I've used over the years, many brothers as a result hardly have any hair left.

I guess they'll have to go for the Vin Diesel look :D

Yep love olive oil, love it even more since I heard Shaytan don't like it, really need to find out how authentic that is. Works really well for the boys after a haircut, better for you in consumption I wouldve thought.

I like olive oil, coconut and almond. They are all good but there are times I like to use pure black seed oil as well.

Olive oil it is! case closed. I drink it, use it as a lotion, for hair and skin and as a natural form of medication.

Mustard seed oil aka sarso oil is also very good for hair, but it has a stong smell,
KHas any one ever tried using kalongi.oil for anything? Wihout mixing in anythin? The taste and smell is too strong,
And yes coconut oil is really good too.

Anas Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports: "Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam often rubbed oil in his head and also often combed his beard. He put a cloth over his head, which became like an oil cloth due to the frequent use of oil".

Commentary: The clothing becomes soiled due to the use of oil, and this was against the noble habit of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam, who liked cleanliness. He put a cloth over his head so that the 'amaamah (turban) etc. did not become stained. (Shamaail Tirmidhi)

Is using olive oil on hair and cooking in it a established sunnah? Did nabi alayhi salaam use no other oil?
