Help Save Shaker Aamer - The Last Londoner held in Guantanamo Bay - READ ON!!

You can re-post this anywhere and everywhere, on social networking sites, blogs, email, text anything. Edit the text to improve the post or for email, but just help the brother to be returned back to his family and taken out of torture - with the help of Allaah and getting the 100,000 signatures.

This is a request for ALL BRITISH Muslims to sign the petition to help free Brother Shaker Aamer from Guantanamo Bay. Those outside UK, are requested to make as much Du'aa as you can for him.

A Bit of History for the readers:

Shaker is a British resident and citizen who has been detained in Guantanamo Bay for 10+ years with no trial, no charge, NO REASON, despite being INNOCENT!!

In this time he has not seen his wife or any of his 4 children, Johina 14, Mishal 13, Saif 11 and Faris 10 - who has never seen his father - Imagine the suffering of this family, who know he is there and alive but they are unable to see him for NO reason.

� He's been cleared for release from Guatanamo Bay
� He's been imprisoned for over 10 years despite being innocent!
� He has never met his youngest child (who is now 10 years old)
� He has never been charged or tried

I have done it, have you??

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor hands him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother's needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection" [Narrated in Bukhari and Muslim]

How will we reply to Allah when he questions us about this??

Many people would stay away from unknown sites. But FYI, the link above is directed straight to e-petitions.

There are many reasons for this type of setup. One of them is the ease to remember where to sign the petition.

On the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: "Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates [the lot of] a needy person, Allah will alleviate [his lot] in this world and the next. Whosoever shields a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the next. "And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children." [4:75]

Securing the release of Muslim prisoners is mandatory.

Imam Malik رحمه الله said: 'The Muslims need to free the prisoners even if that would cost them all their wealth.'

Imam Abu Bakr Ibn al-Arabi رحمه الله said: 'We need to secure their release until not a single eye among us blinks (even if we all die) or we spend all of our wealth in the process.'

Imam An-Nawawi رحمه الله considers that the ruling on freeing the prisoner is similar to the ruling on the enemy invading a Muslim land. In fact he considers the freeing of a prisoner to be more of a priority because the sanctity of the Muslim soul is greater than that of the Muslim land.

An example of that is when a Muslim woman who was a prisoner with the Romans in Amooriyah was slapped in the face by a Roman. She then said: "Where is al Mutassim?" (al Mutassim was the Muslim Khalifah) When this was related to al Mutassim رحمه الله he sent an entire army to free her.

The Crusaders took 500 Muslim as prisoners in al-Raha. So the Sultan Imad ud-deen Zinki رحمه الله conquered the town and released all of its prisoners.

When Salahuddeen رحمه الله won against the crusaders in Hitteen he released 20,000 Muslim prisoners from the crusaders.

That was the state of the Muslim Mujahideen leaders. [Ibn an-Nuhhas رحمه الله, Mashari al-Ashwaq ila Masari al-Ushaaq]

Mashallah excellent reminders. The story of M'utasim, A Muslimah (Muslim woman) was captured, and imprisoned and was slapped by a disbeliever, she shouts out and says:

"O M'utasim where are you?, O M'utasim where are you?"

When she says this, the disbeliever laughs and says,

"your man Mu'tasim is coming, he is coming on a black and white horse to save you"

The news reaches M'utasim, and he purchases 17,000 (SEVENTEEN THOUSAND) black and white horses. He despatches the army and the commander is M'utasim himself, they then marched towards the land where the Muslimah was imprisoned, and here the disbelieving army was defeated and crushed. The disbeliever who slapped the Muslimah is bought in front of M'utasim and so too is the Muslimah who he slapped, and M'utasim says to this woman:

"Tell this non-believer that M'utasim has come and saved you on a black and white horse"

Allaahu-akbar!!

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can get this flying around a lot quicker? Has anyone posted on twitter or any other social networking site?

We URGENTLY need 100,000 signatures before 14th May 2012 to help save our brother, Insha-Allaah.

We currently only have 6,000 votes. Come on Muslims, WAKE UP!!!
