ok, I am warmed up now so lets go.

Why do you need a practising person for Hijama? I understand that it is good to seek practising people (in general) but why do you need one for this specific activity?

Because I do not know of any other criteria that I can use to determine if the person is honest, trustworthy, reliable, reputable, and mindful of Allah and the sunnah and the deen. If there is another method to determine this then I am very open to suggestions.

I am looking not just for hijamah, but also ruqya. I need a person who does not just view hijama as a medical practice, but also as a sunnah and spiritual practice. I don't want someone just to draw blood, but someone who will perform hijama according to the guidelines of the quran and sunnah. Also for the ruqya I want someone who only performs ruqya strictly according to the quran and the sunnah and not use methods outside of the quran and sunnah. I understand some people believe that other methods are allowed and effective, but I have no way to determine which other method is within the pale of Islam and which is not, so therefore as a precaution I only wish to use methods that are strictly from the quran and sunnah.

If I had magic glasses that would enable me to look into people's heart then I might not be so restrictive on myself. But seeing as how there is no such thing then the only criteria I can use is to try and determine the practioner's inner and outer self through the limitations set by the quran and sunnah and by asking for references from other practicing Muslims in order to find such a person. Like I said, if there is a different method then I am open to suggestions.
