It seems the more I make dua, the worse things get.

Maybe that is your ultimate test!

You've suceeded so far don't let Shaitan let you fail.

On the other side of this, you must believe that Allah has prepared a much better place than this. In fact, you'll probably say to Allah, "If I'd known what was in store for me and my family, I would never have complained - I would've asked for more"

I appreceiate it's not easy - give the istigfaar a go

I have been reciting abundant istighfar and durood amongst other things. Inshallah I hope that I will carry on no matter what happens. I pray that Allah does not let shaytaan use this as an opportunity. And I understand all this is only for this world.

This situation has made me think. Imagine if dajjal were to come and offer a cure for all the chronically ill and terminally ill people. How many would be able to resist if he lures us with a cure even after knowing he is the dajjal? Especially if it's your child that's suffering? Maybe we might take the cure thinking we can take what we need and then reject him after, but then get sucked into his fitnah?

لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله
Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.

Shaitan becomes very happy when a person becomes hopeless. Just spit on his face and tell him that you trust Allah. Allah has always helped you and has always been a source of salaamati throughout your life. Let your tears flow in front of Him and read the supplication of Prophet Yaqoob علیه السلام, “I only complain of my suffering and grief to Allah...” (Qur'an 12:86)

Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (7631) from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “On Friday there is an hour when no Muslim happens to ask Allaah for good at that time but He will give it to him, and it is after ‘Asr.”

Abu Dawood (1048) and al-Nasaa’i (1389) narrated from Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.”

A short lesson InshaAllah.

Ata' bin Abu Rabah reported:

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) asked him whether he would like that he should show him a woman who is from the people Jannah. When he replied that he certainly would, he said, "This black woman, who came to the Prophet (ï·º) and said, 'I suffer from epilepsy and during fits my body is exposed, so make supplication to Allah for me.' He (ï·º) replied: 'If you wish you endure it patiently and you be rewarded with Jannah, or if you wish, I shall make supplication to Allah to cure you?' She said, 'I shall endure it.' Then she added: 'But my body is exposed, so pray to Allah that it may not happen.' He (Prophet (ï·º)) then supplicated for her".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

this goes back to what i said how muslims will follow dajjal, no muslim (not including munafiqeen) will follow or accept someone who is openly a kaafir but i can see them following someone who offers them a 'way out' of their problems such as poverty, health, fame etc.

Allah give u istiqaamah bro

Your kids are Insha Allah going to get fine. Don't be pessimistic. Allah is with you and all of us. His wisdom is greater. He knows what is right for you.

Once our Ameer sahab told me one thing which I would share here.

"Ghum insan aur Allah ki marzi mein zidd ka naam hai."
"Sorrow is the name of conflict between man's and Allah's will. Agree on Allah's will and all sorrow will go. Disagree with Allah's will and there will be nothing but sorrow".

This dunia is a jail for momin and in akhirah is his paradise.
This dunia is a paradise for kafir and for him is hell in afterlife.

Don't envy a fasiq when you see him prospering. You don't know what is waiting for him after his death.

Ya Akhi. I maybe less knowledgeable than the rest of the members here. But I am certainly not a fool. There is a lot of power in dhikr of Allah. Trust me. Believe me. Honestly speaking, do abundant dhikr of Allah. It will soothe the wounds of your soul and will help you coupe in these difficult times.

The most powerful dhikr which I have found and experienced it myself is La ilaha illallah. After that durood is the most beloved dhikr loved by Prophet Muhammad SAWS. Try Burdah Shareef. Try different amaal. Don't give hope. You are a fighter. A strong man. No complains. Just try try again. The strength of amaal is unmatchable. Dajjal's fitna will be far greater than this. We need imaan which is higher than Mount Everest. You are a lion. I know you. I met you in Alam e Arwah. I can see it. Believe what I have written. You will win. We will win Insha Allah. No disease and no problem is incurable and unsolvable for Allah.

Shed tears in front of Allah and don't hold back your tears. It will lighten your soul. Crying in front of Allah with love, with yearning, with ecstasy is the medicine of sorrowfulness.

Remember the sadness of Prophet Yaqoub AS when he lost Syiddina Yusuf AS. He did cry but did he lose hope? Didn't Allah return his son after testing his patience?

Remember the deed of that Sahabiya RA who prayed two raka'aats and Allah bestowed life to his dead son. If Allah can revive a dead person, can't he cure your son? He is just testing your ishq? Be patient. Allah is with you. The Friend is with you. The Love is with you. Don't panic.

His mercy is boundless.

This life is a dream. It is a movie. A stage. A drama. We are all it's characters. It is not a reality. When we see a nightmare, we are scared but when we wake up, it's gone. Forever. Similarly, when we will die then the life of this world with it's miseries and it's blessings will go forever. Only our amaal are going forward. So be patient. You will be immensely rewarded.

In the Akirah, these troubles will give you so much rewards that you will feel lucky to bear them in your life.

But in this world you need to keep trying with Dua, Sabr , worldly efforts.

Also try to read some books like Futuh Al-Ghaib (by Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani R.A) . This will give you a new direction in understanding the reality of this Dunya and developing tasleem /raza and in accepting the will of Allah Tala.
