I used to dream about it as a kid. I used to wish I was born in the Prophet's or go back in time to see him (saw)

Then one day my cousin said to me that I should be grateful for where I am as a Muslim. What if Allah had created from the Mushrikeen or Munafiq. What if I went back in time and Shaitan lured me into his tap :(

We can't go back in time to fix things, so we're better off planning the future and striving for the right path.

your cousin is right hence i never say i wish i was alive at time of rasoolullah (saw). although the honour of seeing his blessed face and being a sahaba is priceless i fear what if im not worthy of that position and ended up on side of abu jahl or abdullah ibn ubay? it is Allahs mercy and blessing we are muslim today. what right do we have? our ancestors were probabaly hindu or something ( ind/pak origin) yet we are believers inshAllah yet abu jahl and ibn ubay were pure arabs or in abu jahl case a honourable quereshi at 1 time who was known as abu hakam yet his heart was sealed.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Does it matter at what point or place in history a person exists/existed/will exist? If guidance is written for him then he will be guided regardless?

true but we dont know if our guidance is specfic to our time only. i see many muslims leavin islam in todays climate due to onslaught of kuffar and state of muslim world. imagine being alive time of sahabah. they had it far worse. its easy to talk in hindsight but lets me honest. if we and all our familiy, friends, society and forefathers were mushriks and out of nowhere some orphan came along and said i am a nabi and your way and way of ur forefathers is wrong would we have had the courage and heart to accept?

we find it impossible to say no now as we know islam to be haq and rasoolullah ( saw) to be the greatest of all creation but to them he was just an orphan making wild claims and insulting their idols and religion. they even saw his miracles and had him physically in their presence yet they fought him. when you see what they were up against i cant help and love abu bakr رضي الله عنه the only one who believed without question. just writing this about him brings tears in my eyes. i feel like slapping these millenial sunnis who go around saying umar ( ra ) my fav n what not. how dare any1 even think any1 is superior or holds any status higher than abubakr رضي الله عنه. if Allah and his rasool loved him most then we love him most too. umar رضي الله عنه took years to accept and even after his conversian and even though he was 2nd greated he still questioned rasoolullah (saw) at hudaibiya and lost his mind at the demise of rasoolullah (saw) but abubakr stood firm and had full yaqeen in what the prophet said and did.

Allah created us perfect for whatevrr time he put us in for our imaan. there is another thread atm about mahdi. same applies for him..what muslim wouldnt want to be with him but what gurantee we got we willl support him.rather than end up on side of dajjal and fight him.

There is no such thing like past, present and future.

It's the same story repeating again and again. Only (asbaab) and names are changed. Otherwise, it's the same story repeating itself. We just have to recognize it and for it we have got Quran and Sunnah.

I would have loved to travel back to the time, when we were asked: "Am I not your Rabb" and we said "yes,sure"...

الست بربكم، قالوا بلى
الأعراف)172)

It would refresh my memory,my IMAN and my commitment to Allah swt.

That may mean going beyond time and space though, but it is only a wish :)

I would have liked to have been there at the Battle of Badr and to have been cut up into a thousand pieces by a kafir.

That wouldn't negate the jinn :)

Prophets from the jinn? In fact time travel would've been easier with them too :)
