On Friday, President Donald Trump signed an executive order halting the entire US refugee programme and banning anyone from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the US. It comes after Donald Trump’s election campaign pledge to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the nation.

Who is affected?

Citizens

No one is allowed into the US from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen unless they have a certain visa type – for example a diplomatic visa.

People who are from these countries but have a “green card” to live and work in the US will be allowed back in to the US on a “case by case basis” according to White House officials.

This appears to include people who have dual nationality status – for example those British citizens who also hold Iraqi or Iranian passports.

Refugees

All Syrian refugees are banned from entering the US until further notice. All refugee admissions have been suspended for 90 days – four months.

The Muslim Council of Britain has issued a statement condemning the travel ban and calling for May to take a firmer stand against Trump.

Trump’s Muslim Ban: Time for our Government to Stand Up For British Values

29 January 2017

The Muslim Council of Britain condemns the Executive Order by US President Trump to initiate a ban on people from a select few Muslim majority countries.

It calls on our British government to speak out much more forcefully and stand up for the British values it supposedly seeks from others. For all intents and purposes this is a Muslim ban designed not to confront terrorism but to placate the most hateful sections of American society.

Those countries whose citizens were found to be involved in terrorism in the United States are not on Mr Trump’s list.

Harun Khan, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain said: “This ban on Muslims is not only an inconvenience, it is downright dangerous to our values of equality and non-discrimination. We are told that British values include the rule of law and ‘mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith.’

And yet, our Prime Minister has found it hard to express these values when representing us on the world stage. At the same time, the ban will affect us here in Britain, as those with dual nationality such as Sir Mo Farah and Conservative MP Nadhim Zahawi will also be affected by this ban.

Our government should express in no uncertain terms how daft this policy is to its US counterparts, and press home how counter-productive it is in its professed fight to confront terrorism.”

In front of Mr Trump, the Prime Minister said that the point of the ‘Special Relationship’ was to have a frank dialogue. Well, this is one area where we need to be frank about where we stand. As an important ally of the United States, surely we have a duty to remind them of the values on which they were founded upon.

Cam the Muslim countries take the same actions against US...?

A big Q mark on all Muslim countries :
Why Muslim refugees are seeking shelter in US and European countries..? Can Muslim countries not give shelter to all of them ...?

Obama signed an order and promised to close Guantanamo within months!

He spent 8 years in office, served his term and the prison is still open!

They can sign what they want, but it doesn't mean it'll get done.

We stay away from Quran and Sunnah and they get more powerful, so what's the issue?

What we should do is the question.

as many of u already know i was in favour of trump winning and think in the long run he will be of benefit to the muslims. however im worried what i thought would happen ( muslims uniting and muslim leaders waking up) may not materialised. countries who are not banned by trump see it as a badge of honour and acceptance that they are liked by trump. the apostate saudi regime a few days ago even praised trumps administration team.

honestly if this shaytaan trump cant unite muslims, wake them up and bring them to their senses when i think we are all better of just being dead and let Allah replace us with real men.

ps there is a demo tomorrow 6pm at downing street. whoever has time should try attend. im not really one for demos but let it not be more muslims turn up demostrating against the MUSLIM ban than muslims. today its 7 lawless countries tomorrow be rest assured pakistan saudi gulf nations will also be added once they hav served there usefulness to uncle sam

Lol, what a sly petition.
Quote:
Petition
Prevent Donald Trump from making a State Visit to the United Kingdom.

Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh (Peace, Blessings & Mercy of Allah be upon You).

This statement is being issued on the 30th of January 2017 and supersedes all previous statements on the subject.

Wifaqul Ulama agrees with the opinions expressed by MCB,Ed Miliband, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi,Caroline Lucas MP and many others who are troubled by the executive order signed by US President Trump banning the citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries from entry into the United States.

I believe that this ban goes against basic human values of trust, compassion, tolerance and decency. Many from President Trump’s own Republican party such as Sens. John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina have also opposed it as they believe that it will prove to be an impediment in the fight against terrorism. I urge our Prime Minister Theresa May to stand up for our fundamental British values and for her Government to take a much stronger stance in ensuring that this executive order is reversed, promptly. I will be joining the protest in front of 10 Downing Street and I urge all Muslims particularly our Scholars and community leaders to stand with all those who are united against injustice.

Demo will take place today on Monday, the 30th of January 2017 in front of 10 Downing Street at 18:00. I hope to see you all there in London or at a location close to you.

I read the article but they added extra words. I've removed the extra words to help understand the real story:

WASHINGTON: In his first phone call to an Arab leader, US President Donald Trump discussed with Saudi King Salman bin Abd Al-Aziz Al Saud yesterday a full range of bilateral and regional issues, including extensive coordination in combatting terrorism, establishing safe zones in Syria and deepening Saudi-American economic ties.

The call which according to a White House official occurred at at 1:30 p.m. Washington time (9:30 p.m. Riyadh time) was attended at the oval office by Trump’s most senior advisers. The pool report noted that US national security adviser Michael Flynn, Trump’s son-in-law and trusted adviser Jared Kushner, the chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon as well as the White House spokesperson Sean Spicer were in the room.

In a statement released by the White House few hours later, the Trump administration confirmed that the “two leaders reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and strategic partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia.” On the issues, Trump and King Salman “agreed on the importance of strengthening joint efforts to fight the spread of radical Islamic terrorism and also on the importance of working jointly to address challenges to regional peace and security, including the conflicts in Syria and Yemen.”

On Syria particularly both leaders agreed “support safe zones in Syria and as well as other ideas to help the many refugees who are displaced by the ongoing conflicts.” The phone call also discussed Iran, with mutual agreement “on the importance of rigorously enforcing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran and of addressing Iran’s destabilizing regional activities.”

Bilaterally, Trump “voiced support for the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 economic program and expressed a desire to explore additional steps to strengthen bilateral economic and energy cooperation.” The White House also confirmed that King Salman passed an invitation to Trump “to lead a Middle East effort to defeat terrorism and to help build a new future, economically and socially, for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the region.” King Salman was also the first Arab leader to congratulate Trump in a statement after winning the election on November 9th.

Both world leaders extended invitations to boost bilateral ties and cooperation and agreed to schedule visits in the upcoming period.

President Trump also had a phone call with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday during which they explored ways of enhancing bilateral ties, UAE state news agency WAM reported. Sheikh Mohammed affirmed that extremism and terrorism have no religion or identity and the groups that preach false slogans and ideologies seek to disguise their criminal intention in spreading chaos and destruction.

The two sides took stock of the latest regional issues and developments in light of the UAE and US’ vision regarding important ideas and initiatives that aim to put an end to the security and humanitarian deterioration in the region.

They also emphasized their commitment to realize stability and security in the region and support joint efforts to counter extremism, violence and terrorist groups that threaten security and safety of countries and peoples.

“The UAE is looking forward to overcome this stage of chaos and instability in the region through joint co-operation and efforts that serve mutual interests, achieve peace and stability and restore security,” Sheikh Mohammed said.

Is this a quote from the republican party or is this something Wifaqul Ulamaa have put together based on information? If it's your own words then please do not agree with the fake war on terror. Use accurate terms such as "...impediment in spreading the truth about Islam" or something similar.

[quote]The war on terror itself is based on a false pretext that 19 Muslim hijackers were responsible for the events of 9/11. We know this is patently false. The evidence clearly shows that Israeli Mossad was directly involved in the bringing down of the twin towers and of presumably Building 7. We know that Israeli fingerprints are all over it. We know that traitors in the US government were involved in a plan to carry out an agenda of global spectrum dominance, full-spectrum dominance and all of this has been hand in hand with the pawns in the game of al-Qaeda, today al-Nusra Front, ISIS (Daesh), these are nothing but stooges who are paid for mercenaries and are paid for by our proxies - Saudi Arabia, Qatar and others - and all of these proxy elements, mercenary forces, ISIS, al-Qaeda, whatever they want to call them, are the justification to continue carrying on the farcical war on terror which itself is based on a lie.
