I have, still do and will always defend Maulana A.S. Desai (HA) due to his adherence to what “he believes to be Haqq”.
Many scholars disagree with a lot of his opinions, his harsh tone, his rhetoric, his exaggerated tone but his sticking to and propagating what he believes to be true is praiseworthy.
He makes many and frequent errors when it comes to Islamic issues, peddles conspiracy theories, backs and supports ill-founded and condemned medical theories and lacks basic scientific knowledge but he must be appreciated for his uncompromising attitude for Haqq
We live in an era where people lack primary knowledge in many fields (let alone Islam) and are desperately looking for those who practise, propagate and stand for Haqq and that is his appeal. Majority of our Ulama don’t even bother returning people’s emails or deem others worthy of responding to WHILE Maulana (HA) in his old age at least communicated to people so people are naturally attracted.
We need to look at all sides and the full picture.
Because we have solid and repeated evidence which contradicts it.
Sometimes it’s beneficial to read before responding. I said when you “lack information”. The starting point and recommendation in Islam is to assume the BEST in everyone UNTIL you have rock solid evidence to the contrary.
In the case of Maulana Saad Saheb (HA) the opposite is true i.e. there is solid, reliable, repeatable evidence to the contrary which is being cast aside and ignored out of sheer loyalty and nepotism.
Lets make an assumption that Tableeghi Jamaat has to do with Islam so you will be providing Islamically credible evidence to back your points.
Organization founded by his forefathers
So what if it was founded by his forefathers? How does it justify his claim to the "throne"?
Of which he has been the de facto Ameer for decades.
How so? What was his day to day involvement in Tableeghi Jamaat and its affairs?
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
