The books are talking about Kashf and Ruhaani stuff, so no comment from me, better to get seniors to verify, because I might incorrectly call them dodgy.

One of the most selling Magazine in Pakistan.

Muftisays.com can also boost its publicity by adding little tinge of this kind of stuff.

I wish staying away was an option...

There are many things we have to face squarely,pseudo-spiritualism is one such thing. It comes in many forms and shapes.Pseudo-pirs instead of proper guides, business of Taweez instead of Tafweez (handing over one,s affairs to Allah and trust in HIM swt),mashrum growth of muraqiba halls in certain communities (teaching mind control instead of nafs control),blind belief in the ill effects of black magic and evil eye (and attributing all the daily ups and downs of life to it),the irrational scare of jinnat and so on...

It is not surprising to see that the moment the aqeeda of tauheed weakens the status of the dignity (which Allah swt has granted the Mankind) goes down with it.Insecurities creep in,the focus is lost and replaced by intellectual chaos and confusion, one feels helpless and in desperation try to seek help from wherever it comes...

This is the price we pay when we are totally OR partially disconnected from ALLAH alone....and this is where we leave empty space for the likes of ubqari.

Can we stay away ? Shall we stay away ?

If this is the top selling magazine of Pakistan, I am Sorry but it is a sad reflection on the Intellectual state of the people of Pakistan.

We were introduced to this guy by Maulana T (of Sunniforum), he was a Syed so in honour to Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) we accepted his word on this magazine and Hakeem Saheb.

Maulana T (of Sunniforum) then fell out and turned his guns on the same Hakeem whom he considered to the greatest Medical professional of the world.

We then read this magazine with our eyes open and frankly it’s the “Readers Digest of Sufees”!

I am from Pakistan and I know that Pakistanees think that “Readers Digest” is the epitome of literature but I am making my comments after being able to read English and know what Readers Digest is actually about.

Simply put, 99% of Ubqari is tittle-tattle. To devote time exposing it is also a waste of time. IF ANYONE thinks that this magazine is quality they seriously need to get their head checked!

Unfortunately, most of the “victims of this propaganda” are simple minded Sufees who have problems in their life (marriage, finances, illness) and this magazine sells them the Silver Bullet gift-wrapped in Qur’aan and Sunnah. These simple minded Sufees are unable to check the interpretation of the verses themselves or the authenticity of Hadeeth themselves so magazine will keep on getting published.

I am sure, pretty soon someone will drop the “ultimate acceptability bombshell” that Hakeem Chugtai is friends with Maulana Tariq Jameel so how can I say these things?

The duty of exposing fakes, isn't just limited to Ulama, specially in this particular case. The doctors and hukmaa should expose any plagiarism, wrong prescriptions etc. etc, if any, in this mag. It's their duty too. Because the things that ubqari contains regarding roohaniat, most of them are stupid and have been discussed in detail by alot of scholars, although may not be discussed particularly for ubqari, but they all apply to it too. Now I think it's doctors' ethical responsibility to expose this mag. What I think is that this mag must be doing some copy paste sort of thing (without providing any references). If Hakim sahb isn't qualified hakeem, then there will be a lot of inconsistencies in his magazine, which any qualified person in this field can easily detect insha'Allah.
