Qadi Abu Bakr Ibn at-Tayyib رحمه الله was sent by the Muslims to the Christian King in constantinople. The Christians respected him and held him in high esteem. As they feared that he would not bow down to the king upon entering the court, they arranged his entry through a small door so that he would be forced to lower his head and bow while entering through it. But, the judge was wise enough to understand their plot and entered while facing his back to the door. Their plan culminated in failure.

After taking his seat, one of the Christians mischievously raised the issue of the false accusation made against 'Aa'isha as-Siddeeqa رضي الله عنها, "What is the story what is narrated about 'Aa'isha, the wife of your Prophet?"

The judge answered, "Two righteous women were falsely accused of adultery: Maryam عليها السلام and 'Aa'isha رضي الله عنها. As for Maryam عليها السلام, she appeared carrying a child while having no husband, while 'Aa'isha رضي الله عنها did not have a child, but had a husband."

His explanation pointed to the fact that the innocence of 'Aa'isha رضي الله عنها is a lot clearer and easier to prove than that of Maryam عليها السلام. The Christians were completely dumbfounded with the reply.
