"The weakest of the people is the one who cannot keep his own secret,
the strongest of them is the one who controls his anger,
and the most rich of them is the one content with whatever he had made."

Life is always fair, and the reason for that is the hereafter. For anyone who believes in the hereafter will realize that every hardship will hit a dead end. And that dead end will have a door, beyond the door is the reward. When one accepts fate, situations, hardships, pain, they have already passed 50% of the trial by accepting it. Then it's about getting through it. Knowing that Allah Subhanhu Wa Ta'alaa is the only one who can give it and also clear us of it will make us turn to Him and then we will find is so much easier. What makes it hard is the fact that we think "life isn't fair", "why me?" "why do i deserve this?" etc. We are tiny tiny creations and we can NEVER question our Lord. - Yasin (site admin)

Being grateful, being positive, being healthy, does not mean we never feel angry. Being grateful, positive, and healthy means we feel angry when we need to.

If someone gave you a beautiful, expensive new hat, wouldn't you be grateful for the generous gift? But shouldn't you be even more grateful for the One Who gave you the head to put that hat on. [Shaykh Muzaffer Ozak]

The one who does not have knowledge should not be too shy to ask until he gets the knowledge. And the one who is asked about something he does not know should not be so shy that it keeps him from saying, "I do not know." [Ali radi Allah anhu]

A deed is not useful unless accompanied by three things: awareness of Allah (Taqwa), good intention, and correctness of the deed. [Ibn Ajlaan]

Five things express the beauty of a being:

- when the poor appear rich
- when the hungry appear satisfied
- when those with heavy hearts appear joyful
- when love is shown to an enemy
- when feebleness does not appear despite fasting the whole day and praying the whole night

Do not seek sustenance from people. God is the real Provider. If He wills a certain person to be the means of your livelihood, do not consider that person to be in control of your destiny. Have faith and be certain in the knowledge that your daily bread does not depend upon any mortal, but upon God who created all.
