About the Charity Shop

Muftisays.com has been running many services for 8 years on a voluntary charity basis for the benefit of the general public. We have been making it by with the prayers of Ulamaa, the Muslims and generous support from our advertisers. With server costs and other bills, we have made donating fun and meaningful with this charity shop.

Everyone has things at home or in the office that is either taking up space, unwanted or simply extra. Many of us throw things away without a second thought. Who hasn't heard the phrase, "one man's junk is another man's treasure"? - What may be junk to you could be important to someone else. They will purchase it elsewhere anyway if needed.

With this charity shop service, you can get rid of the things you don't need, someone else can benefit with a bargain and most of all, the entire amount is used as a fund raising method for our services and future plans.

This service is FREE.

How it works

If you have a normal account on muftisays, you can simply click at the top "Donate Item"

1. Add your item with images and you're done
2. Potential buyers will bid for the item with no reserves specified (default reserve only for each item - very small amount)
3. Buyers bid on the item for 10 days from the first bid (subject to change depending on traffic)
4. Once the bidding term ends, the item is awarded to the highest bidder
5. You then send your item and the full postage cost is refunded to you

IMPORTANT!

This is not a sales or auction service. Only items you wish to donate should be added here. NO FUNDS are refunded if you sell a valuable item by mistake except that the buyer happily returns it to you. To sell your own products, please check the shop section to become a partner.

Rules & Regulations

1. ALL proceeds are utilised for the services and costs of muftisays.com
2. From time to time, we may donate exceed amounts to registered partner charities such as UWT. This is to ensure that we are only taking in what we need and not making any profit or gains from this charity service.
3. The bidding of all items ends 10 days after the first bid has been received. This period is subject to change from time to time to best suit the needs of buyers and sellers.
4. The are NO reserved prices for any item. They will all begin from the minimum required value which is small portion of it's current value.
5. The purchase price is refered to here as Donation.
6. Donations are clearly displayed on the site but the buyer is kept confidential and private.
