Peaceful Sleep

In this modern world
Of struggling and striving
Of making a living
Or
Just barely surviving
It is so common
To lie nights awake
Wild plans always in the make
Tossing and turning
Minds a-racing
Thoughts a-pacing
Never really quite unwinding
Before you know it
It’s time for Fajr
Give a miss?
Don’t !
Drag those weary bones out of bed
Make your wudu
Bow down on that prayer mat
Salah is better than sleep
For
Once you tumble back into bed
You surely won’t hear a peep!
Now that you’ve cleared that test
The sleep after Fajr is the best!
