| Good In This Life, And In The Next
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
"And there is among them he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." [2:201]
"Rabbanaa aatinaa fid-dunyaa hasanah, wa fil-'aakhirati hasanah, wa qinaa adhaaban-naar" (Our Lord, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire)
This du'a is a compendium of all prayers in as much as it encompasses the entire range of man's wordly and other-worldly objectives.
