| Admiring Fame
“It is inappropriate to give extra importance to those reverts who were famous for other things before Islam. If our love and admiration for such famous people who accept Islam was only for the sake of their having accepted Islam, then every single person who accepted Islam would be admired in the same manner.
However, it seems as if we had admired their lifestyles and achievements during the time before Islam, and now that they have accepted Islam, we use it as an excuse to exhibit that love and admiration towards them. Deep down our love and respect for them is not for their Islam, but for their fame or what they were before Islam.”
