Waseela is NOT asking the dead. It is asking ALLAH through the blessings of individuals.
Due to some people going overboard, others have gone to the extent of calling Waseela shirk, Allah forbid.
The three types of Waseela are:
1. Calling Allah by his names.
2. Asking Allah through certain good actions one has done.
3. Asking Allah through the blessing of a certain individual.
[The first 2 are accepted by ALL, but is the third one which some people are mistaken about]
