“The person who spent his life fulfilling the unlawful desires of the nafs, will not be able to acquire the everlasting pleasures of the Hereafter; and the person who strove against his nafs in this world and sacrificed his unlawful desires, Allāh ta’ala will grant him the everlasting luxuries of the Hereafter.”
