Hadhrat Mujaddid Alf Thaani (rahmatullaahi 'alaih) writes, "Please understand the value of the Sunan and strive to revive them!'

Rasulullaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, 'The person who revives my Sunnah at a time of strife and corruption will receive the reward of a hundred martyrs.' (Mishkaatul Masaabeeh, page 30).

Imaam Maalik (ra) likened the Sunnah to the ark of Hadhrat Nooh (A.S.) in that those who board are saved and those who do not are drowned (led astray).
