Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
Repeatedly in the Qur’aan & Sunnah we are reminded to place our reliance (Tawakkul) exclusively on Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) will suffice for all our needs.
Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Ibraheem (AS) from the fire of Namrod.
Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Musa (AS) from the army of Fir’uan and the waves of the sea.
Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) and Khalifatur-Rasool Sayyidina Abu-Bakr As-Sideeq (RA) from the ferocious men of Quryash who were chasing them with nothing but a spider-web and some pigeon eggs!
So how is it Allah (SWT) CANNOT solve our problems? Have the powers of Allah (SWT) diminished and may we be saved from such a belief!
No! It’s our reliance upon Allah (SWT) which has wavered as prophesised by Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam):
Ameerul-Munineen Sayyidina Umar (RA) said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) say, ‘If you were to rely on Allah as He should be relied on, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They go out early in the morning hungry and return in the evening full.’” [Tirmidhi]
We have forgotten our reliance upon Allah (SWT) but the same Allah (SWT) looks after the birds whose reliance is ASBOLUTE & 100%.
Bartailed Godwit makes the longest migration of any animal NONSTOP and on the 12th of September 2007 it went from Alaska to New Zealand covering an area of 18,000 miles (29,000 kilometres) total and here is a summary of its journey:
- Longest single continuous segment of flight was 6,300 miles (10,138 kilometres)
- Can’t rest or stop anywhere because it’s a land bird and its flying over the ocean
- Can’t eat anything because it doesn’t stop
- Flew continuously for 8 days without eating or resting
- Rested for a few weeks and then flew again to new destination.
So what makes you think that Allah (SWT) can't take care of you and solve your problems? All you need to do is ask Allah (SWT) and make dua, in fact you are transgressing Allah (SWT) by not making dua!
[7:55] Supplicate to your Lord humbly and secretly. Surely, He does not like those who cross the limits.
The same Allah (SWT) which made this bird fly across the globe and fed it can feed you, Insha'Allah.
